NASCAR Trucks series driver Erik Jones has been docked 10 championships points after his winning truck failed a post-race inspection last week in Iowa.

Jones, driving the No. 51 truck owned by star Kyle Busch, led 131 laps on Friday en route to his first win in 2014.

But an inspection revealed that Jones' truck was too low.

    Pre-Raw Commercial

Which former WWE Superstar is going to be on RAW? And the Champ is here!

    Raw Starts

    Video

Recap from the WWE WHC MITBLM at MITB last night. Kane was trying to make sure Orton won the match, but Super Cena came back and won the match.

    In Ring Segment

Trip’s music and he comes out in his power suit, holding Steph’s hand, as she wears her power suit. They head to the ring together, smiling. They soak up the ire as JBL, King, and Cole bicker on announce.

Steph – What an amazing homecoming. I’m sure you’re all well aware I was born in Hartford. We have that in common, I know you all feel so privileged, but truthfully it’s a privilege to be out here celebrating MITB.

    Huge “CM Punk!” chants.

Steph – We started the night out with Bryan. Now, unfortunately, Bryan, his recovery is going to take longer than everyone had hoped, and that’s sad. But we’re in the business of making history, not living in the past. Last night Rollins did just that to beat six others in one of the most exhilarating matches I’ve seen, winning the MITB contract virtually guaranteeing he will be WWE WHC.

Trip – Absolutely Steph, as I’ve said over and over, Rollins is the future of the WWE. But that’s not the only thing that happened last night, no because for the first time ever, the WWE WHC was decided in an 8 man ladder match. The man that won that match, well Steph and I have always known, like everyone else, is an A+ player, and he made history becoming a 15 World Champion. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome right now, the brand new WWE WHC, John Cena.

Cena out, the belts hooked together, draped around his neck. Steph give Cena a mic, but Cena won’t shake Trip’s hand.

    Steph – John…

    Cena stops her.

Cena – Before I say something, it sounds like they want to say something. You referenced Daniel Bryan.

    Steph – I did.

Daniel Ricciardo may be coming out of the shadow of his more celebrated Red Bull teammate.

The 24-year-old Australian won the Canadian Grand Prix on Sunday to earn his first career Formula One victory, joining four-time defending world champion Sebastian Vettel on the podium and snapping Mercedes' stranglehold on the circuit this season.

Ricciardo's win was the first win this year for any driver other than Nico Rosberg, the pole-sitter and championship leader, and Lewis Hamilton, a three-time Canadian GP champion. But the twin Mercedes Silver Arrows were forced to slow down midway through the race to keep their brakes from overheating, and Ricciardo was able to take advantage.

Unbeaten heavyweight prospect Anthony Joshua (6-0, 6 KO’s) stopped an over-matched 38-year-old Matt Legg (7-3, 3 KO’s) by a 1st round knockout tonight on the Carl Froch vs. George Groves card at Wembley Stadium in London, England. Joshua hit Legg with a hard right uppercut to put him down on the canvas for a knockout. Legg was unable to beat the count.

Joshua was tagged by two hard left hooks to head from Legg in the opening seconds of the round. The first left hook stiffened Joshua’s legs causing him toi backup to the ropes. Joishua then flurried on Legg with a bunch of arm punches, but they did nothing to stop him as Legg nailed Joshua with another left hook.

Maria Sharapova bounced back from a poor start to defeat Simona Halep 1-6, 6-2, 6-3 Sunday and win the Madrid Open title.

Sharapova, who lost to Serena Williams in last year's final, crumbled in the opening set when she held her serve just once.

But Halep's serve dipped in the second set, and Sharapova started hitting pinpoint ground strokes that kept the Romanian running. The ninth-ranked Russian converted both her break points in the set to even the match.

WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (46-0, 26 KO’s) defeated WBA welterweight champion Marcos Maidana (35-4, 31 KO’s) by a controversial 12 round majority decision tonight in a decision that was loudly booed by the crowd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. The final judges’ scores were 114-114, 117-111, and 116-112. I scored the fight 7 rounds to 5 for Maidana. I had definitely had Maidana winning the fight. I had Maidana winning rounds 1, 3, 4, 5, 8, 11 and 12.

Mayweather was throwing too many single punch counters, and Maidana was walking through those shots to nail Mayweather with hard body shots against the ropes. Mayweather was forced to hold through most of the fight in order to stop Maidana’s superior inside attack. Mayweather tried his check left hook that he’d knocked Ricky Hatton out years ago, but it had no effect on Maidana, who waked through the shot and kept firing away with body shots.

Ryan Hunter-Reay deftly guided his car around the rain-soaked track, stayed out of trouble and wound up with a much happier ending.

Hunter-Reay coasted to his second straight victory at Barber Motorsports Park on Sunday when the rain-shortened IndyCar race finished under caution, with Andretti Autosport teammate Marco Andretti behind him.

The win came two weeks after Hunter-Reay touched off what turned into a seven-car pileup with an ill-timed attempt to pass Josef Newgarden at Long Beach to end what had been a dominating performance.

Triple H is welcomed to the ring. Hunter says one of his jobs as COO is finding the greatest talent around the globe, and giving them the opportunity to succeed. Of everyone he has seen, Hunter says the Shield is three of the most talented guys he has seen in years. This is the reason he gave them power. However, Hunter says that power might have gotten them to think where they could bring that. Triple H says at some point, you need to find the line in the sand, and know not to cross it. Triple H says the Shield crossed it.

An Evolution vs. Shield video package is shown.

Triple H says on Raw, the Shield were humbled. Hunter says he told Michael Cole on their interview, that he is willing to put this behind them. Hunter only wants the trio to beg on their hands and knees for forgiveness. Triple H says the only thing he got in response was from Roman Reigns, he said, “Kings don’t win war, soldiers do.” Hunter says that is a neat tagline, but something that is more accurate, “Soldiers are the currency for which empires are bought and sold. The Shield has lost their value.” In closing, Hunter makes an Extreme Rules match: The Shield vs. Evolution. Triple H intends to show the three what true power really is. In life, you either adapt or perish. That, is Evolution.

Kell Brook's world title dream remains intact after he stopped tough Alvaro Robles in the eighth round on Saturday night.

In yet another tune-up fight for Kell Brook (32-0, 22 KO’s), he defeated little known Mexican welterweight champion Alvaro Robles (17-3, 15 KO’s) by an 8th round TKO. Robles, who looked at least two inches shorter than Brook, was a punching bag for 8 rounds. The fight was halted when Robles’ trainer threw in the towel in the 8th.

The referee took off a point in the 4th round from Robles for hitting Brook on the belt line. It was interesting how the referee took a point off from Robles for hitting on the belt line, and yet he did nothing for the low blows and the rabbit punches that Brook was throwing.

Robles was cut over his left eye in the 6th, and the cut got worse by the 8th. Robles appeared to have the better power and speed, but he was just too small and he wasn’t letting his hands go in the fight. Had he been a little taller and/or a lot busier, I think he would have halted Brook.

Kyle Busch didn't mind the rain that ended the race early.

He would have been fine with continuing, though -- his car was that good.

Busch became the first driver to win three straight NASCAR Nationwide races at Phoenix International Raceway, dominating his way through a rain-shortened race Saturday.

"We've been very dominant here in the past and led a lot of laps today," Busch said. "I felt like we could have won it if it was rain-shortened or whether we went the whole distance."

Marin Cilic from Croatia overcame problems with his serve to win the Zagreb Indoors tournament on Sunday, defeating top-seeded Tommy Haas from Germany 6-3, 6-4.

Cilic gained his fourth title in Zagreb and became the third Croat overall to win at least 10 career titles. Cilic also lifted his career record in Zagreb to 22-4, winning 20 of his last 21 matches at the event.

Cilic -- champion here in 2009, '10 and last year -- struggled with his first serve in the opening set but played some great returns with a solid baseline performance.

Detroit Lions star wide receiver Calvin Johnson may need arthroscopic surgery on his sprained knee, a source familiar with the injury told ESPN.

Doctors are recommending that Johnson undergo the surgery this offseason in order to alleviate swelling and to clean out loose bodies in his knee, according to the source.

But Johnson and the Lions will determine the best course of action following Sunday's season finale against the Minnesota Vikings.

Johnson, the NFL's second-leading receiver this season, will not play Sunday in Minnesota, the second time this season he has been inactive due to the knee injury.

The Arizona Diamondbacks have avoided arbitration with Brad Ziegler by agreeing to a two-year, $10.5 million contract with the right-handed reliever.

Ziegler revealed the agreement via Twitter, saying he's "really excited to stay in Arizona for a couple more years, at least."

Under the contract, the side-arm pitcher gets $4.5 million for 2014 and $5 million for 2015 with a $5.5 million option for 2016 that includes a $1 million buyout.

The 34-year-old pitcher has spent the last two seasons with the Diamondbacks, going 14-2 with a 2.36 ERA. Last season, Ziegler inherited the closer's role due to injuries and struggles by others. He had a career-high 13 saves in 15 opportunities. Last season, he was 8-1 with a 2.22 ERA.

WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward (27-0, 14 KO’s) put in an excellent performance in beating Edwin Rodriguez (24-1, 16 KO’s) by a one-sided 12 round unanimous decision on Saturday night at the Citizens Business Bank Arena, in Ontario, California, USA. The final judges scores were 118-106, 117-107 and 116-108.

Both fighters were docked 2 points each by the referee Jack Reiss in the 4th round after they kept brawling while Reiss was trying to break them apart. But after that, Ward really took Rodriguez to school both on the inside and the outside.

Ward changed up tactics in 6th round when he moved to the outside and started pot shotting the slower and much bigger Rodriguez in a style that looked similar to Floyd Mayweather Jr. Rodriguez kept trying to land one big shot, and occasionally he was successful, especially when Ward would tie up one of his arms. Rodriguez would use those opportunities to nail Ward repeatedly with hard shots.

The Portland Trail Blazers have reached agreement with "Rip City Two," a SportsTwo.com messageboard that will become the team's "official messageboard" this season. The agreement is one year in length and includes an option for a second season. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The organization's marketing department sought such a partnership after reaching the conclusion that their "IamATrailBlazersFan.com" messageboard, which was moderated in-house, was too burdensome and that a partnership with a preexisting messageboard would better achieve their goals of fostering discussion and reaching fans online.

Blazers Marketing VP Dewayne Hankins sees the partnership as another prong in his team's new online approach, which also includes a new mobile app and Casey Holdahl's relaunched "Forward Center" blog.

"A messageboard is only ever as good as the people who put content on it and moderate it," Hankins told Blazersedge. "[Our old messageboard] was always someone's job, besides their real job, they would just help moderate the messageboard when they had time. ... Without curation and moderation and good content, the boards become stale or hostile or somewhere in between. We just don't have the resources to dedicate full-time people to running messageboards. ... The good thing about Rip City Two is that they have a full cast of people who moderate the boards. The framework was already there."

Today, I finished negotiating a consulting agreement between SportsTwo and the Portland Trail Blazers where our Trail Blazers forum is going to become the official message board of the Portland Trail Blazers. This is a done deal.

I want to congratulate you all. I merely represented us, as a group we made this worthwhile.

    What this means:

    1) The skin of the Blazers forum is going to be changed to match the official trailblazers.com WWW site. Similar to http://forwardcenter.net

    2) We do not have to change our site rules in any way. They are perfectly satisfied with the way we run the site in every respect - that we don't edit profanity or say rude things and so on. They do not have editorial control over the site. However:

    3) It is in our own best interests to edit profanity in thread titles. If we do, we can have a display of recent threads on the trailblazers.com home page (or elsewhere). If the titles have profanity in them, we will effectively be defacing their site.

    4) We do not have to filter what we or any poster says about the Blazers.

    5) The ads on the site will be replaced with ads provided by the NBA. This is in line with any sort of site sponsorship deal we'd make, regardless of it being the Blazers. I think we should expect some very nice ads to be shown.

    6) We will have a prominent link to the forum placed on trailblazers.com, and they will help promote the site through other means (mentions on TV, game programs, scoreboard, radio, etc.).

    7) We will have access to some goodies as part of the Blazers family. If you have a request that is reasonable to pass on to the brass in the Trail Blazers front office, I'll be happy to make it happen.

If you have any questions, ask in this thread.

Many thanks to SlyPokerDog and Natebishop3 for helping me get this done.
