Someone said earlier that UW should be on suicide watch. Make that Cal instead... So we lost Cotrell?
At this point the Ducks need upgrades to the secondary and OL... Now's the time to find a few diamonds in the ruff!
I'm actually pretty high on our secondary. Last year there was a lot of growing pains, which was to be expected with all the youth. Only so much a DB can do with no push from the line. I think with the stellar D-Line class coming in, it will make our secondary look that much better. IMO.
By and large, most of the Ducks highest rated recruits at almost every position have yet to hit the field, or if they have, they still have eligibility left. It's tough to know where the real needs are, simply because the Ducks will be putting a lot of highly-regarded recruits on the field over the next two years. 4 OL were redshirted last year as freshmen, true freshman Jake Fisher got plenty of PT last year, and Hronnis Grasu started replaced Jordan Holmes, without a downgrade, as a redshirt freshman.
I agree with everything here and he didn't even mention receiver, we brought in some studs last year, BJ Kelly, Blackmon for example who didn't even touch the field.
Stream of Dozier's announcement if anybody is interested. http://www.ustream.tv/channel/cedri...blog.thenewstribune.com/preps&medium=10303977
Duckterritory's "PreDUCKtions" are as followed. Bryan Harper - Confidence level 95% Shane Brostek - CL 75% Bralon Addison - CL 85% Chance Allen - CL 95%
are they still showing it on espnu? they;re talking pac-12 right now, so timing wise it'd make sense.
Look I know people were hard on the secondary but without Cliff Harris we had 1 RS freshman starting another coming in for substitions, and 1 true freshman playing nickel. Terrance Mitchell, Troy Hill, and Ifo-Ekpre Olomu are all going to turn into very good players. Not to mention we got the Amaoko twins this year, Daniels, and a possibility of getting Bryan Harper (who by all accounts is a big fast corner that everyone likes). The secondary will be just fine. We also have these guys as well. http://oregon.scout.com/a.z?s=128&p=8&c=1&nid=3972173 http://oregon.scout.com/a.z?s=128&p=8&c=1&nid=4185214 http://oregon.scout.com/a.z?s=128&p=8&c=1&nid=3743448 http://oregon.scout.com/a.z?s=128&p=8&c=1&nid=3786367 http://oregon.scout.com/a.z?s=128&p=8&c=1&nid=3479665
I was looking at that depth chart a few days ago. What struck me is how there will only be 7 seniors, total, listed on the defensive 4-5 deep next year. In terms of talent, the best is really yet to come. Now it's up to the coaches to put them in the best position to perform.
