There is no chance he makes the regular season roster of 15, but sure, he's a nice camp body. You guys can continue to play Grab Ass, but this signing is irrelevant in terms of next season.
Maybe, but he won't make the final roster of 15, since that's already full at this point in guaranteed contracts.
Waive Watson, pay him for next year, all to have Dee Bost as the 15th man behind Lillard/Mo Williams/McCollum. Pissing away $1.4 million seems worth Dee Bost. LOL Want to make a wager on that happening?
For veteran minimum contracts the Blazers are on the hook for only the portion of a 2nd year player which is $788,872. That is also the amount on the cap. For a 10+ year veteran like Watson the league pays the other $610,635.
After Mo signed as the clear backup PG with the Blazers Earl Watson decided to give up his playing number. Do Earl and the Blazers have an interest to void his contract so Earl is free to sign with another club?
NOBODY questions my favorite player this year, Earl Watson. Clear? Any questions? Good. I'll consider the matter closed.
Maybe at some point we could sign one of those power forwards or centers I keep hearing about? Seriously, how many guards do we need in camp?

The video shows he's a good intermediate-range shooter. This guy is here just for training camp, while Pritchard paid $1-2 million for the pick for Armon Johnson, who couldn't shoot at all. Anyway I'm glad that someone brought up Bob Whitsitt which gives me a chance to say, what the hell was the Oregonian thinking when they forced Allen to replace him. Dee agrees.
