This view is one I share. We're finding ways to win, and it's so much fun to beat teams that should crush us.
Not concerned about close games as much as the defense. It felt like we had to score on every possession at the end of the game last night. CP3 would dribble around a screen and get a wide open 15-18 ft jumper any time he wanted. No Blazers even close to getting a hand in his face. Our offense is carrying the load, which is tough to sustain.
I think so. How we stay so fucking cool is beyond me. We may speak softly, but we carry a big stick of confidence. This team never thinks they're out of it. When the game went to OT, they knew they were going to beat the Clips.
That might concern me if Chris Paul didn't do the same to every single other team in the league. He's playing at an incredibly high level right now. That, to me, is what was so impressive. Paul was on fire, Griffin couldn't miss with his jumper and Jordan was grabbing every board in sight. Hell, even Crawful had a great night, and he always sucks at the Rose Garden (especially when he wore the Scarlet & Black). In contrast, Lillard was nothing special and LA was asleep for a half and then in foul trouble. Yet the Clippers couldn't catch us; they played from behind the entire game and ended up losing. We got their best, played like crap and still won.
We're winning. No. Stop being so greedy, for fuck's sake. This team will have dominant nights and close ones. If we win the close ones, it means we win... simple as that. I don't care if it's by 3 points or 30.
I am not discouraged by the close games. I am encouraged by them. Because most of the time, we are winning them. That's a good thing.
So now it's not enough to have the best record in the league. We have to blow every team out. Even the other top teams in the league. You have high standards, my friend.
I don't know if concerned is the correct word. More like, I feel sorry for someone that requires so much attention even when it's all negative.
"I'm concerned about their experience..." oh, never mind. Scratch another excuse for why Portland isn't the best off the list.
Seems like all of the recent ones have been close. And the Blazers wouldn't have it any other way. But after losing to Golden State don't think Doc Rivers and the Clippers weren't trying to win that one. They took a big jab at the Blazers but in the end they were left standing. I think it's another sign. The upcoming schedule scares me. Little less so with Westbrook being out. I think they need to aim to go .500 in this stretch. They are road games and they are versus teams who will be looking to make statement.
Sounds like the Blazers are throwin' games because they ain't coverin' the point spread. It's clear that organized crime has their hooks in the team.
