There you go again showing your brilliant "BBIQ" I love how you think you're some basketball guru LOL. Your "bullshit shit posts" crack me up. I didn't know I was speaking to Phil Jackson. Keep it coming Jr, at this rate you will be coaching the Washington Generals in know time! Your "BBIQ" is of the charts. Got to love message board guru's.
I like this move. The Blazers D League affiliate is supposed to be using Stotts' system, so CJ will get a chance to play some games, get into game shape both physically and mentally, as well as have an opportunity to play real games in Stotts' system without the risk of it adversely effecting the Blazers play during the big boy games. While I look forward to CJ helping the team, even the greatest players to grace the sport take time to shake off the rust, and in my opinion, hurt their team for the first handful of games back from injury more often than not.
What if CJ only wants to play for the Stampede? He went to a small college, might want to only play for a small professional team.
Re: CJ won't play tomorrow BUT WAIT!! Half the posters think he's an all star. How can thins common sense move possible be???
Not sure why this is even controversial. There was a paragraph in the new 2011 CBA to specifically encourage teams to use the NBDL for rehab assignments. Here's the details: "The 2011 collective-bargaining agreement also altered the way teams can use the D-League. Before that CBA, only rookies and second-year players could be sent to the D-League and for no more than three times. The new CBA allows unlimited D-League assignments for rookies and second-year players and players with three years or more experience can be sent to the D-League with their consent." The Spurs, perhaps the best run organization in all of the NBA and not a bad franchise to emulate, regularly takes advantage of this by sending players down to the Austin Toros for brief rehab assignments. They did it with Gary Neal in January 2012 and Kawhi Leonard in December 2012. Even Amar'e Stoudemire did a brief D-League rehab assignment in December 2012 when coming back from an injury. The Clippers also did it with Eric Bledsoe in January 2012. So, send him down, let him get some 5-on-5 run in, get in game shape and then bring him up. What's the big deal? BNM
Who cares what the CBA says, screw Stern and his agenda. He would immediately be our best player off the bench. It's not like he's been sitting on the couch slamming back beers and donuts. He's been playing, he's ready. But whatever, he's going, I think it's a waste of time but that's just my opinion.
I think most people would agree with me that since Mixilito has been banned that SlyPokerDog is the resident troll.
Truth is truth. The bottom line is you will find something negative to say about one of the most positive developments on our team this season. Besides the fact that we are DESTROYING the league right now, our draft pick is finally going to play after breaking his foot. Most of us save the trolls are happy about it. Yet you want to find the negative in everything that happens. Drink a full glass of water for once. This is a happy time.
OISG has posted some positive things about the team. You calling people trolls does not help, tends to fire people up and send threads off track. OISG is not insulting people but calling people trolls is an insult. Please stop.
If you can get me three, preferably behind the Blazer bench, I wouldn't say no. The fam would be thrilled. In related news: CJ was suspended indefinitely from the team for "irreconcilable differences", and is being reassigned to the D League pending a trade for cap relief. I have a compromise, HCP can make the Idaho Stampede game threads, and Darkwebs can make the Blazer ones. Define "some" positive things. If people can't sit back an enjoy the Blazer's best performance and team chemistry in over 2 decades, would it not be fair to say that perhaps the issues they have are far greater than anything involving the Blazers? Momma always said, when the good times out-weigh the bad times, it's time to get on your horse and move on.
This was positive - http://sportstwo.com/threads/253953...did-in-the-4th-on-defense-needs-to-be-bottled
I suppose that counts as AN example of A positive thing. The operative word in my question was "some", as in, several, or many, and certainly more than one. I appreciate the due diligence, but am not convinced that qualifies as "some" when he's had nearly 160 attempts.
