And Beverely asking a reporter to please bring Lillard up means Lillard isn't in Beverely's head? That right there is a classic case of someone having someone else on their mind, and just can't wait to tell them all about it. It's a very human thing to do.
Totally; Beverley has one claim to fame right now: he might be a Dame-stopper. We don't know for sure yet because being a Superstar-stopper only counts in the playoffs. Beverley is just another Ruben Patterson trying to trade on his ability to bully one player in particular. If he was within himself and actually confident, he wouldn't bring up Damian unless asked. You wanna talk about talking too much about your opponent? Beverley is that guy, not Damian. Damian's just talking straight because he'll never feel like he has to toe any company line. He's so confident. See also: Damian and Stotts mindfucking Westbrook "He afraid! He afraid! Now I'm gonna shoot a bunch of heatcheck jumpers!"
It's a case of Beverley doing his job. He's going to do everything he can to distract Lillard, because he can't compete with him on a talent level. Someone else posted it here, and they were right. It's no different from Ruben "K*be Stopper" Patterson. There's a role for those guys in the league. I would hope we had a few of them on our bench.
And I still would want beverley on my bench if he were affordable and available, because he's a pest.
"LA sucks in the Playoffs. Don't worry about him." I had a good lol at that one. LA has been very on par with his regular season and playoff performance each year. Yet to take it to another level though, but that is anything but sucking.
Just another thing that adds to the make up of what could be a very disappointing series for them. In my years I've learned to take a humble, statistical headed approach to the postseason. Using your emotions to support your thoughts leads to heartbreak.
That's a tall order. I keep expecting a thread on LakersGround.net about how they expect Silver to appoint them to the playoffs as a result of their past successes. Every fan base has its share of delusional posters. I actually find the ClutchFans forum filled with good people. As for being homers, I think that's just part of being a fan.
There's homers and then there's delusional homers. The Rockets fans think everyone wants to play in Houston. Nobody on this forum thinks we're going to sign a superstar outright.
I don't think Florida is on the list. Shaq left. Dwight left. TMac left. Yes, LeBron went there, but that was the only real situation where all three could sign with the same team.
Just for the record, Beverly did not out play Dame in any game this season. Damian put up better numbers in each contest. That BS getting in his face was not a basketball play by Beverly
