You can if you want. I personally think it's a bit odd. If someone tells you they are unhappy and want to leave for two years, I'm not sure how you can be bitter towards them when they do.
When he tells people publicly that he wants to retire as the best Blazer ever? When he says that he wants to wait to re-sign because he wants that extra year? I have no clue what he told the organization privately. I always felt he would leave because that was just my gut feeling, but he still said publicly that he wanted to stay, so fuck that guy. He's a tool, AND he tried to leak a bunch of bullshit after he left to try to shift the blame.
......ya' know....... ya' know...... This just hurts ya' know Sent from my Baller-Ass 5.5" iPhone 6+......... FAMS
It seems to me that there is substantial overlap between the people bitching at LMA for leaving and the people who bitched about him (and called him the hilarious "LaMarsha") while he was here. Maybe it's more to do with them than it is Aldridge. He gave us his best years, was among the league leaders in dunks one year (when Camby was throwing him lobs) and led the league in mid-range shots made another. Seems like he was a pretty fucking decent player, even if he was never the cuddly bundle some people might've wanted. Personality-wise, he sounds a lot like Ray Allen. Respected but seldom loved.
It was interesting to hear what Dame said about Harkless. Was really impressed by his athletic abilities. Dame has played with some good athletes, but seemed to speak of Harkless like he was much better. Hopefully he can reproduce his outside shot from a couple years ago. He may be our sleeper this year.
I rest my case. Teal is an abomination. And I am reminded how much of a fucking badass Muggsy Bogues must've been.
I defended LaTex when he was here, but all his public statements and assertions that he wanted to resign and be the best Blazer ever blah blah blah, when in reality he never intended to return to the Blazers...and he quit on us during the playoffs...and he hung us out to dry...Yeah, fuck that guy. He's dead to me.
Have you never wanted something and then CHANGED YOUR MIND? Like when you realized how fragile your team was because it depended so heavily on one player (who might never fully recover from his injury)? If so, then good for you, but you're pretty rare. (And what's your evidence Aldridge quit on us? Seems to me Zach Randolph would have found scoring a lot easier if Aldridge really had quit.)
I just think LA screwed up any chance of Wes and Rolo staying here and as it stood...we needed to move on. Chump decision that I think he'll maybe regret later but I've moved on. Kind of feel like he's found the daddy he needed to tell him how to decide. I love his game but it's trash talk territory now. Want him to fail ..I'll watch the Spurs this season but not as much as the Mavs...I can't fault Wes for cashing in. Cuban really did him a favor
Yes - that was CRAY-ZEE. The max? Just because you're pissed at Jordan? And you set yourself up as a savvy businessman? Talk about butthurt.
