I'd think what is stopping a CJ trade is not an equal value equation, but Portland assigning unrealistic value to their side of the equation. I think what is stopping a CJ trade is that Dame and the Blazers actually value CJ and don't want to lose his scoring talent ....all the trade rumbling is coming from people who are pretty much just anti Olshey....I'm hoping Chauncey sorts the guard defense out and insists on ball movement from CJ...something he needs badly to hear from his coach. I think Dame was humbled in Tokyo to as far as ISO ball....I think they both know those days left the building when Terry parted ways

The Athletic has CJ in Tier 4 of their list of the top 125 players in the league. Norm is in Tier 5. Given the guys on the list, I don't have a real problem with that classification for CJ. Here's a screen shot of part of the Tier 4 list: They've only gone through Tier 3 so far, which has legit All-Star guys like Booker, Mitchell, KAT, Beal, etc. Presumably, Dame will make Tier 1, but that remains to be seen.
