One thing I’ve admired about Dame, he knows what’s best for business. Schmitz needs to do a good job selling Dame on a prospect. I think Amen can get a good 15 mpg like what Sharpe got.

If Amen were on the Blazers, his defense is going to be what keeps him on the floor. With athleticism comparable to Sharpe, Amen can have an early impact just from cuts to the basket and hustling on defense.

Offensively, Sharpe also showed a promising jumper, which Amen obviously doesn’t have yet. But similarly to how Sharpe surprised us with early signs of a jumpshot, I think Amen will show early flashes of being a real primary decision maker. Amen’s shooting is going to be an eyesore, but so was Sharpe’s handles. Lonzo took three years to be a good shooter. Fox still isn’t a good shooter.

Sharpe + Thompson - sign me up for this tandem for the next 8 years.

Dame wants the blazers to assemble a championship-caliber team now (correction: x years ago), not in two years or beyond.
I understand where he is coming from.
He has always played great his entire career for us but we never gave him a legit shot, mostly because olshey made too many mistakes.
Now Dame wants us to make up for it by giving him a chance to win a championship in Portland, now, while he's still good.
To do so, we would have to sacrifice present and future draft capital in addition to players.

Is it possible to assemble contender? Yes!
Will it guarantee a championship? No!
Does giving Dame what he wants now contradict the welfare of Cronin's and Shmitz's careers? Yes!
Is Dame being unfair for his demands? No!

I'm sure Cronin and Shmitz would rather use the draft pick.
But because of Dame, they will probably trade it along with Ant and even future draft capital.
That's what "pushing all your chips" mean.
That's what "It's time to compete at the highest levels" mean.

on top of that, while I think anyone can be traded, moving Dame to Orlando... ah no. If they were ever to move him I'm sure it will be to a situation favorable to him

I don't believe what GM's say and that goes double for new GM's. Joe has had every reason to say things that will make Dame happy going into the offseason as that keeps his options open, but decision time is coming soon.

It seems like it would require multiple teams involved to get back what Damian Lillard is worth. I just don't see it happening.

"Box-and-One with Coach Spins" has Amen as the 3rd best prospect in this draft behind Frenchie and the Scoot.
He had Sharpe at #5 on his Big Board last season. Banchero/Chet/Ivey/Jabari Smith/Sharpe

I wonder what Ant/Sharpe/Amen would look like together with Amen running the show as a point forward?

It's right there for the taking.
Lillard could be a part of it too. Unless he doesn't want to be.
    It could be Lillard/Sharpe/Amen.
    Simons off the bench.

Dude moves VERY quickly, and has amazing body control. I see the reason for the hype. If only he could shoot.

    I love Amen but…

You simply cant draft Amen unless youre ready to move on from Dame

His shot is so broken its unbelievable; but it makes you think about how amazing he is everywhere else that people consider him a top prospect with Simmons-esque shooting ability

    nope... too big

Blazers have the frontline covered with young players with "potential", Little, Watford and Walker.

This is what I expect Amen to be doing in the NBA.

Amen would need to be surrounded by shooters.

Even if he was surrounded by shooters theyre gonna guard him like ben simmons which negates a lot of his value IMO

if he could shoot he'd be the #2 pick no matter who was drafting

Is he the sort who will scrap his current shot and embrace coaching and the process of learning better mechanics?
