it's actually only #1 protected: I wouldn't count of the Warriors totally sucking 2 years in a row though. If it's a lottery pick this year, take it and run
HUGE. In the grand scheme of things, we are really just two forwards away from filling out the bulk of our future roster. Unless Sarr falls into our laps, I think we could likely fill both spots. That would give us a full starting lineup of young guys with DA being the oldest, plus at least three guys off the bench (Walker, Camara, Mays) that can grow to be positive contributors to a contending team for cheap. Fill out the roster with recycled vet pieces from the Grant/Brogdon/maybe Ant trades, and we could have an OKC-esque roster by the end of next summer. If the Blazers could land both Sarr and Buzelis in this draft…watch out.
things aren't gravy in Dub Nation. CP3 decided to go tough guy mode on a ref, got sent to the showers.
It's like watching a movie when there are no likable characters. I can't stand Chris Paul, or Steve Kerr, or Scott Foster.
Scott Foster easily the most unlikeable. The fact I know certain refs names means they’re infamous, in my opinion.
I loved the pick from before the season started. They were mediocre last year and they're still mediocre. CP3 is washed.
Why doesn't nbadraft have the warriors pick listed? Is it someone elses before it was Bostons and then potentially Portlands?
Nevermind, they have it listed as Memphis pick. https://www.prosportstransactions.com/basketball/DraftTrades/Future/Blazers.htm
I know it is a little early to start rooting for certain teams to win in order to keep GS out of the play-in games. I think the Clippers, T-Wolves, Thunder, Nuggets, Kings, and Suns.... should all finish above them. It is this group I think that I think we might need help from: Lakers, Rockets, Pelicans, and Mavs However more than likely at least one of them drops and the Warriors make the Play-in
It's never too early to root for others teams to win, as long as it screws the Warriors, Heat or Lakers (the NBA Axis of Evil).
If we nail this draft like how the Pels nailed it the year they drafted Murphy and Jones, we might be competing sooner than expected. We have two guys that look like they’ll be great valuable interchangeable wings off the bench already in Camara and Walker. Two more high potential wings (maybe both are lotto-l talents) added next summer and we have a forward core that might even challenge the guard depth. Between those four guys and whatever you can get out of Rupert and Murray, that’s a lot more talent at that we’ve had at those positions for as long as I’ve been a Blazers fan I think. Trust in Schmitz.
