I think he defends really well on the perimeter and is very switchable, he's also a good weak side shot blocker. Jerami does a ton of winning things... he definitely shouldn't be the guy you go to if you want him to get you 8-10 boards every game. Some solid third option scoring and defense... that's what Jerami is good for and hopefully some team wants that bad enough that we get some good value for him.

 

Sure. Ayton should have made one of the two wide open ones on the play before too.

 

I want to see Ant/Shaedon/Toumani/Bari/Ayton.

Scoot off the bench with hopefully some shooters. If Rob Williams isn't done forever he'd be an awesome fit in the starting lineup.

 

the refs gifted Portland a chance to win by reversing their call. Can't blame those slimy crooked officials for this loss.

 

I like some of the things that Ayton does better than Nurk but he isn't close to as good of a screener and it's very frustrating having another huge guy who is capable of dunking a fuck ton more than he chooses to.

 

Three out of those five can’t shoot the three with any consistency. That’s not great. Grant, for all his faults, is a great corner three point shooter.

 

Not really trying to win. I just want to see if you can field a competent offense with Ant's gravity and the other guys just covering for him defensively. If Toumani and Bari can get to 35-36% in the next few years it'll be like having a better version of Mo/Chief. Plus, you'll still have Tisse coming off the bench who will play a lot with those lineups.

Then draft one of the many forwards this draft with a top 5 pick and develop him to be a starter.

I also think Ayton has potential as a 3 point shooter. I'm curious if they've ever tried turning him into one. The offense is really good with Duop Reath in there at center and he's only a 35% shooter.

 

Sure, he might get better. But right now, he's a big reason why we're losing.

 

Difference between Ant and Dame at this point is Dame would have took over sooner and probably scored 50 on these chumps.

 

Pretty confident we'd be closer to 50% winrate if you didn't play Scoot at all and just spread his minutes among the forwards.

 

We only have 4 average quality NBA starters right now. Simons, Brogdon, Ayton and Grant.

 

Maybe they're average separately, but collectively they're way below average.

That group just got punked by a 4-win team in their home stadium.

 

with the players Portland has, even with the games missed Portland should have more than 7 wins, IMO

 

It’s the jerseys. They’re cursed. They need to stop wearing them.

 

Why? We were projected as like a 25 win team. We are basically on track for that. This isn’t a good team. It has talent but it’s extremely young and we have a lot of injury prone guys.

 

Scoot isn’t the dude that got us into the hole tonight. He was +7 and was in for the run that got us back into the game. You guys are ridiculously harsh on the kid.

I'm not just talking about this game.

 

I don’t think we have a single win without Scoot in the lineup. Scoot hasn’t been playing when Simons is ice cold in the first half. We are giving up big leads and then having to dig out of it. Often Scoot is part of the unit that makes a run.
