I'd be happy with Dillon Jones or Ulrich Chomche.

Comanche and Dursic are the two I would snag if on the board in the second. The ones I would really like are Dillon Jones and the Pacome kid but I think they earned themselves a 1st round choice…

Not sure they will make selections that they keep with both picks, but if they did, I wouldn't mind any of the following.

    • Klintman
    • Durisic
    • Chomche
    • Dunn
    • Hall
    • Jones
    • Bona
    • Freeman
    • Mogbo (fascinating story)
    • Ingram

The Athletic has us mocked to take Dadiet at 34 and if he is available, I think that would be a no-brainer.
Here is an indepth look at him and also some comparisons with Salaun. He is actualy better than Salaun around the rim, offensive putbacks, blocks and in general, shooting. I don't think he falls to 34. I hope they do whatever is necessary to get him.

Where did Givony mock Dadiet in his latest?

I'd love him at #34, but don't think he falls that far. NBA Draft Room has him at #28.

I wonder if our two second rounders plus a future second could get us there? Or should they just hope he drops?

Here is a guy we have not mentioneed yet. O'Connor of the Ringer rates him as 28th best player in the draft but thinks we will draft him at #34.
Trentyn Flowers 19 years old, 6'6 1/2" 205 lbs. From NBL
    PLUSES
    • Bursty driver who doesn’t shy away from contact or length as he spins and pivots his way into the paint. He’s at his best receiving handoffs and slingshotting toward the basket.

    • Lob threat who feeds off set plays to get dunks, and he runs the floor hard in transition to make himself available for kick-aheads.

    • Flashes the potential to be a fearless shot taker even with a hand in his face. He made only 35.7 percent of his 3s and 64.9 percent of his free throws. Synergy data says that during 2022-23 competitions, he made 32.3 percent of 3s and 75 percent of free throws. So he isn’t without touch, but he’s not a knockdown guy.

    • Makes some super flashy passes that suggest he has primary creator potential once he irons out the rough edges of his game.

    • He could become a multi-positional defender if his fundamentals and strength improve.
    MINUSES
    • Currently a non-threat as a shooter off the dribble. His form looks a bit disconnected as he heaves the ball from the top or back of his head toward the basket.

    • Forces way too many shots at the rim. He made under 50 percent of layups, per Synergy. The NBL allows a ton of contact, so he wasn’t rewarded with many drawn fouls. But his shot selection will need to improve regardless.

    • Needs to tighten his handle. He commits too many turnovers dribbling the ball off his foot. And if he gets in trouble, he’ll carelessly throw the ball into traffic

If we're going for draft-and-stash (and also potential): Djurisic (probably gone by 34) or Nunez (the Spanish Topic?)
If we're going for the next Camara/Walker: Jalen Bridges/Enrique Freeman
    Possible unicorn: Mogbo
Backup PG ready to go from day one: Shead/Newton

I am shocked that anyone writing for a well known website could consider Flowers to be a first round talent. Dude plays like he's hopped up on speed. The fact he only makes 50% of his layins is amazing considering the shit he throws up there actually goes in that much. His jumper looks like Michael Redd and Clyde Drexler had a baby jumpshot together and he got the worst parts of both.

It is kind of odd. O'Connor actually brings up all those faults in his evaluation, Doesn't even rate him as a good defender right now. I think most mocks rate him as undrafted. Will be interesting to see if he does get drafted.

At this point I seriously don't care who we take with our first rounders so long as we get Jamal Shead and/or Kevin McCullar Jr. with our second rounders. Both of them had massive influences on the successes of their respective teams, to the extent that both teams tanked after each player got injured. If those two don't have over-ten-year NBA careers I'll eat whatever hat I've got left after we draft Knecht in the first round (unless it's because of injuries). Of course, there's a good chance both will be gone by our first second rounder, like my other fave Baylor Scheierman when playoff teams realize they can get a fifth starter with a low first-rounder.

I will be SO PISSED if the Lakers, or even more likely, Miami get either...
