Thats dandy but is yet still another 120 dollars.
And its not really about the money. Its about trying to figure out how to get what i once had that was working just fine for years.
It is difficult to find clear answers now, as to what options come with what services and what streams have the service needed.

It sure seems much more complex than it needs to be. But that is all on the channels and hosting services.
Why every streaming service lut there doesn't offer dvr abilities blows my mind. Most people dont watch live tv.

I have never had a problem bringing up something on You Tube that was aired previously.

youtubetv does have their quirks. Navigating your DVR library can be a pain in the ass, and sometimes things you recorded are hard to find, but all in all, it's worth it. The channels that aren't offered, aren't channels I care about. I can watch it on my phone, laptop or TV, and I can access it anywhere I have internet (not with local channels tho...so I don't know if Charge! will work in places like Boise, or Spokane or Missoula).

    This might help.

Has it been confirmed youtube TV and some of these other national streaming providers will air the OTA Blazer games?

There is charge TV here in Austin but I can't imagine it will have the PDX feed, so we don't know what feed a national source like Youtube TV will use. They could pick from one of many local charge TV channels. They might explicitly be banned from showing the PDX feed during Blazer games as the NBA would want people to buy Blazervisions, NBA League Pass, ESPN/TNT, etc instead.

Its like saying just because you have ABC channel somewhere nationally that doesn't mean you will get what is broadcast on the PDX ABC channel (KATU).

Best option is probably YouTube TV. But if you don't want to pay $75 per month you can also probably just use a paperclip.

Unless your TV doesn't have a tuner. In which case you can buy one of many options between $20 and $120, depending on what features you want and if you care about DVR.

But I agree that all services should be required to air all local content with mass appeal.

Either I'm misunderstanding what you're asking, or you misunderstand how TV broadcasts work. This is 2024, not 1984. If you are in the Portland area, you get KATU, KGW, KOIN, and KPTV on your youtubetv broadcast, but if you go to Spokane you get KREM, KXLY and KHQ and if you go to Seattle you get KOMO, KIRO, KING and KONG.

In Austin, the Portland Charge! affiliate is not shown because, well, it's not in Portland or the Portland TV market/territory.
When you are out of the market, and you have Portland (or whatever city) listed as your home market, you can, after the fact, access programs from the local stations that you have recorded though (i.e., if I recorded a Blazer game on my youtubeTV, but was outside of the Portland market, I can access the recording once the game is over).

They aren't going to "ban" local stations from broadcasting local channels (the Portland Charge! station in this scenario) to force you to buy Blazervision.

They aren't going to show local shows from one market to another market.

I don’t know. Just always had it. It’s bundled with my ATT (Vulcan discount)(free HBO and MAX) and internet at a damn good price!

Yep. It works, but big games can lag.

It's better just to find sources online so if you run into lag issues you can switch to another source.

Friend of mine has something that he can watch any channel in the US and there's no blackouts or nothing. He lives in the middle of the country, and can watch KPTV, KATU, KGW and KOIN via this program, from his home. Saves him a TON of money.

Yes, for normal stuff it works very well. Just make sure you have a backup for large popular events.

He’s got every PPV fight/MLB/NHL/NFL/NBA game. Looks like it has a built in VPN as well.
