If we can land a first rounder from each that would be awesome.

Seems awfully difficult for NY to match Ayton's salary without giving up one of their top 4 guy.

Maybe from the LA trade, but the Orlando asset would probably be Black, and how would NY match Ayton’s salary? All their big salaries are tied to their core players…Brunson, OG, Kat, Bridges, Hart.

KAT and Ayton on the same team, both starters? Can't see that working

Now if we could swoop in to save the 76ers season, who would help the most? Grant or Simons? What would pry away McCain to help them win now?

I have a feeling that this would be Orlando's highest offer:
    upload_2024-11-22_12-23-37.png

And you'd really have to believe in addition by subtraction to go for that.
I looked up the minutes of players like Anthony Black and Tristan De Silva, both of whom I'd like, and there's no way they're giving up either. Even KCP, who's having a HORRIBLE shooting slump, is very much a positive part of their rotation. And Isaac, Bitadze and Mo Wagner are also valued rotation players. I don't think they really feel they need Anfernee, so why offer anything of value?

    Here's their pick situation:

if he can stay healthy, he could certainly elevate a pretender to a contender

if a first if offered, especially with an expiring contract, I would hope the Blazers accept

I agree that is the best offer from ORL for Simons. No way they add a frp. They are a great young team and in no rush to make a title run. Shit their two best players are a few years away from peaking.

Lakers should just trade for Grant and Rob Williams at the same time. Sell high on Knecht and a pick. Let's go.

Timelord is by far the most likely traded, has real value.

Ayton and Ant we're stuck with.

Blazers more likely to trade DeAndre Ayton than Robert Williams?
While Fischer also brought up Robert Williams as a possible option for the Lakers, he says he has talked to people around the league recently, including scouts, who believe the Trail Blazers may be more inclined to trade Deandre Ayton than Williams at this season’s trade deadline. Given that Ayton’s cap hit is nearly three times higher than Williams’, the Blazers may have a hard time extracting much of value for the former No. 1 overall pick

With Ant's value declining by the minute... God I wish we would have traded him sooner...

obviously, I'm kind of anti-Ant, but I don't think his value has changed much in the last 20-30 months. I think it was always rather low. I'd say it's dropped a little as it has become clear he's worthless on defense and shows no signs of improving. But his limitations and flaws have been apparent for quite a while. I'd say expecting a 1st round pick for him has always been a bridge too far

I don’t think anyone’s value has declined. Most anyone who’d want our vets could easily see for themselves they’re mostly all poor fits for the current Blazers and likely play huge roles on actual contenders.
