Wanting Russia, the UK, and US to live up to their agreements and protect Ukrainian sovereignty to the borders as they were agreed to is not equivalent to wanting anybody dead. Nobody outside of Ukraine cared about him before he stood up for what's right. He could have easily accepted it and saved himself while living out his life in exile. He instead stood in the path of danger to lead his country where it wants to go. In this time of war with his people suffering under Russian attacks he still has far better approval ratings than Trump.
