Two former Seattle SuperSonics players left in the NBA. One is Durant obviously.

    The other??

I still remember a sweet looking drive through the middle of the key for a jumper he swished during summer league his rookie year.

Nice player but he'll never be the number 1 or 2 offensive option the way Scoot will be. I think the Blazers did the right thing.

Never thought I'd see him go over 18 on a regular basis...

If Scoot is our number 1 option we will never win. PGs should not be your best scoring option. Curry is the exception, not the rule

There’s no way you can compare Amen to scoot. Amen is a future all nba player and what’s this scoot will be a number 1 option?! What?! Lol

I understand history, but that doesn't change the fact that Scoot can be that guy while Amen cannot. And this is coming from someone who really likes Amen. Championships are another matter.

You're right. Scoot can actually spread the floor and shoot the three and be the focal point. Amen is a really nice utility player who will struggle more in the playoff format.

    play type - isolation:

    Sharpe: 0.99 ppp - 75th percentile
    Amen: 0.89 ppp - 54th percentile
    Scoot: 0.70 ppp - 21st percentile

    PnR Ball-Handler:

    Sharpe: 0.95 ppp - 69th percentile
    Scoot: 0.83 ppp - 42nd percentile
    Amen: 0.82 ppp - 41st percentile

    transition:

    Sharpe: 1.19 ppp - 63rd percentile
    Amen: 1.16 ppp - 59th percentile
    Scoot: 0.95 ppp - 16th percentile

    those 3 play-types are 50% of Amen's offense; 64% of Scoot's; 59% of Sharpe's

    PER: Amen 18.1....Sharpe 14.3....Scoot 13.6
    TS%: Amen .601....Scoot .555....Sharpe .553
    BPM: Amen +3.3....Scoot -1.4....Sharpe -1.5
    FG% at Rim: Amen .758....Sharpe .750....Scoot .576

now, Amen has one notable advantage over Scoot and Sharpe: his production has increased significantly since Houston made him a starter. As a starter he has averaged 16 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists. Very impressive numbers

Scoot (and Sharpe) has lots of room fro improvement. But Amen is only a year older than Scoot and he has a lot of room for improvement as well.

definitely Scoot is better at spot-up than Sharpe and much better than Amen. But Portland doesn't need Scoot to be Seth Curry

Amen is getting a lot more opportunity than Scoot and Shae right now imo so yeah, Amen is absolutely producing well. Doesn't change the fact that he will never be a main option on offense the way Scoot projects to be. Just need to get him those minutes and clear pathway.
