With Milwaukeee getting the 1st pick it looks like me might not get Michael Redd, and the Sonics want Allen back. What happens next?
Larry Hughes would be the best fit because he has the best ball handling skills of the few SG's available this offseason. And if TJ Ford is nagged by injuries, they could use Hughes at PG if needed.
I'd like them to get Joe Johnson more than Redd, as he probably won't demand as much money, can play PG or SG and is a tight defender. I know he probably won't want to leave the Suns, but I can always hope, can't I?
I think the cavs might have to settle for Bobby Simmons. Hughes is washingtons #1 priority in the offseason. I believe that Redd will stay with the bucks. The cavs should try hard to sign Johnson and if that doesn't work get Simmons.
Can the Suns afford to sign Johnson to a big contract this offseason? They already have Marion, Q, and Nash signed to huge contracts and will have to give Amare the max soon. That doesnt leave a lot of money for JJ if they want to also have some decent bench players. And I believe Amare and Marion have expressed displeasure in playing out of position. The Suns could keep them happy by just letting JJ walk and picking up an athletic C while adding some depth to their bench. They then could move everyone back to their natural positions to make them happy and probably have a better chance of beating teams like the Spurs and Pistons with a more traditional lineup. So ya...Im predicting the Cavs to sign JJ this offseason.
I think the Cavs will manage to pick up a key FA...there are still some nice guards out there who would make nice complements to Bron...such as Marko Jaric, Joe Johnson, Larry Hughes or even Bobby Simmons...I personally like Jaric, simply because he adds nice size and can hit the 3-ball at a nice percentage...but I think the cavs will be fine...
ur best bet is to make your mark in the draft. Johnson aint comin/leaving Phoenix. Redd has been quoted saying Bucks are is first choice. U desperately need a "lights-out" shooter.
Cavs will likely have over 30 million worth to spend this summer and likely two max players. So yes you should have PLENTY of hope.
