My choices would come between lebron james and gerald wallace. they are both athletic freaks. LeBron was a high schooler that was 6'8'' and 240lbs. Did you see his dunk on the bobcats earlier this year...insane! G Wallace isn't they best of players but I think he has the potential to become a star in this league, or atleast a highlight reel. He is among the highest jumpers in the league and had the choice to go to the NBA or MLB. That's extremely rare when someone can play two pro sports. Like bo jackson or prime time.

Kobe Bryant, without a doubt. He's scorer, plays offense and defense, and crashes the glass. The kid could walk on sky. But, in a few years, I'm thinking LeBron.

    Most Athletic Player

Do you mean in terms of leaping ability? Than just say the best leaper, not the most athletic. Athleticism contains more than just leaping ability, such as in the list below

    Size: Height, Weight, Armspan
    Force: Strength, Power
    Mobility: Speed, Quickness, Agility
Vertical Ability: Leaping Ability, Hang Time
    Intangibles: Stamina

There are three classes that I have named to help classify the different athletes in the league.

Goliaths: Tall, strong, with exceptional quickness and leaping ability for someone of this size that can completely alter the state of games. The only two players of this calibur are Shaquille O'Neal and Wilt Chamberlain.

Malone Clones: 6'8-6'10; 240-260; Fast for size with exceptional strength that can dominate the post. Karl Malone, Chris Webber, Shawn Kemp, Charles Barkley(Only one under 6'8)

Jordanaires: 6'4-6'8; 200-225; Fast/Quick with 36+inch leaping ability with versatile basketball skills. Past Michael Jordan, Julius Erving, Elgin Baylor, Dominque Wilkins, Scottie Pippen

Mini-dynamos: 5'10-6'4; Explosive speed, quickness and leaping ability with great finishing skills. David Thompson, Kevin Johnson

Ten of the most athletic players in the game today. Not in any except for Shaq.

    1. Shaquille O'Neal 7'1 330: Without a doubt one of the two greatest physical specimens that professional basketball has ever seen(Wilt Chamberlain). Enormous Size and exceptional strength, with unusual agility, speed, and leaping ability for his size.

    2. Allen Iverson 6'0 165: Unworldly quickness, speed, and durability despite the poundings he has endured for years. Before his injuries accumalated his athletic ability was at the top of the league, possessing a 40 inch vertical to go with his breathtaking speed.

    3. Lebron James 6'8 245: In my opinion one of the 10 greatest physical specimens in NBA history. A power forward's body with a guard's speed, and small forward versatility, Lebron is the best athlete to enter into the league since Shaq.

    4. Vince Carter 6'7 225: Arguably the best dunker in basketball history, and one of the most spectacular entertainers in the history of team sports. Solid build and strength for his position, solid speed and quickness, with the vertical leap and hangtime that is out of this world.

    5. Kobe Bryant 6'7 215: A Jordanesque clone, exceptional speed, quickness, and leaping ability in a shooting guard/small forward skills package that became common after Michael Jordan came into the league.

    6. Tracy McGrady 6'8 210: Similar to Bryant, although not as physically big, but longer.

    7. Jason Richardson 6'5 220: See Kobe Bryant.

    8. Desmond Mason: See Kobe Bryant.

    9. Amare Stoudamire 6'10 245: Similar to James physically, versatile. Amare is big, strong, and quick for his size. Great finisher who dominates physically the way Shaquille O'Neal dominates opponents.

    10. Steve Francis: One of the mini-dynamos that started after Kevin Johnson. Explosive speed, quickness, and leaping ability.

    11. Baron Davis: Similar to Francis and Iverson, but physically bigger, and stronger, making him more difficult to contain.

Dam, The Show, that was sick man. I totally agree, but you do need to add KG and Tim Duncan. Other than that, it's real good. In my opinion LeBron is the most athletic in the league. He's gonna prove it over and over in years to come i can bet anybody.

Tmac is more athletic than Kobe, so is Lebron, I don't understand what crashing the glass and playing defense have to do with pure athleticism.

    I'd probably go with:
    Tmac
    Lebron
    Amare
    Baron
    Vince
    Kobe

Tmac has the speed and quickness, decent strength, he's 6'9, has a very long wingspan, and he's also got the jumping ability. Lebron is a close second he's not as quick, and has a slightly lower vertical, but he's stronger, and also has a nice wingspan himself. Vince has more jumping ability than both, is stronger than Tmac, but not as strong as Lebron [his strength is underatted], doesn't have the speed and quickness like he used to, though his first step is very good.

Amare, especially for a big man is very athletic, he's got the speed and quickness, jumping ability, strength, and basically he has it all in terms of pure athleticism.

Kobe has a nice NBA body. He has a good vertical, about a 38 inch vertical, but not as good as Vince and Tmac's, and about right there with Lebron. He has a strong body, good speed and quickness, not as fast as Lebron, and not as quick as Tmac, but he has the attributes.

Baron Davis has the body of an NFL running back. He's probably the strongest, or at least one of the strongest PG's in the league. He has great quickness and speed, has close to a 40 inch vertical, and outside of the belly, he's an athletic machince.

KG is an exceptional athlete. I did not mention him because I only used a few examples.

I think Kevin Garnett should be the most athletic. He's about 7 feet tall, has the speed of Allen Iverson, can crash the boards better than Ben Wallace, almost has the strength of Shaq, and has a 40 inch+ vertical.

Look at his numbers, and that's why he's getting those MVP stats.

The Show couldn't have said it any better. That was an amazing post. However, I would rank Steve Francis a little higher. That boy is one hell of an athlete.

garnett has the speed of iverson???

I dont see the t-wolves running any wing isolation plays for garnett

he`s a fabulous player but he`s nowhere near as quick as iverson

How about most athletic, at each position:

    C - Amare
    PF - Marion
    SF - LeBron
    SG - Vince
    PG - Francis

    Those would be my picks.

Well, I was just proving that he's really quick. I was being a little too much I guess.
