<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The glamour position of the NBA remains just that. Filled with spectacular athletes capable of taking over games in any number of ways, they can grab the ball off the rim, take the ball the length of the floor, and burn defenders from the perimeter or off the dribble on a whim. The bigger question is how do you differentiate between the elite shooting guards who play the game today? Seriously now ... do you really think Dwyane Wade is a better basketball player than Kobe Bryant? Then again, is Kobe Bryant more talented than Tracy McGrady? And while we're at it, is any one of the aforementioned trio even close to being the same kind of consistent leader that Ray Allen was for the Seattle SuperSonics last season? Not to be forgotten is the biggest winner of the entire group ? Manu Ginobili, who in the last four seasons has won two NBA titles, an Olympic gold medal and a European title.</div> http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/4806088 Kobe has the better skills and shot, but Wade is the better player.
Kobe is still better than Wade. Wade is a better team player, and can fit into more team systems better, but Kobe is still the better individual player at this point in their careers. Wade has had one good season, and he's close, not very far, but let's see how he progresses and does this season, and he can move on to possibly being better.
As of right now, I wouldn`t say Wade is better than Kobe, but I think D-Wade has a great chance of becoming a better player than KB.
Size and defense still matters in the nba. Kobe is still a premiere defender in the league, and though dwayne wade has the atheletic ability to be a great defender, last year he was honestly a borderline liability out there. i expect wades numbers to go down this year (with the additions the heat made) but he should be a better player as well.

Wade might be 6'4 [actually he's 6'5, just listed at 6'4], but he also has a 6'10 wingspan, and was a good defender out there last year, and at times, very good. I don't know if this analysis came from actually watching him play because if it did, that's crazy. Wade was also named to the All-Defensive second team last season, not on hype, but because he actually played well defensively.
