I honestly think Peddie and babcock are the worst GM and VP i've ever seen we need to fire both of them and start again like what is Peddie thinking? Babcock has made sooo many mistakes and he is still in office? If he wants the team to move into a better future they have to get rid of this guy and hire someone who can make a team get better
The same rules for firing a coach or waiving a player don't apply to management. Babcock has made some questionable moves, but he has always stated that his plan for the team's success will unfold 3-4 years down the road. You have to give the GM that much time to work with the team, and firing him after his first season would be much worse for the franchise, than waiting him out: It would give a message around the league that the Raptors' don't have a stable organization, probably scaring away any players or GM's that we would want to bring in. Remember, we can question the Babcock hiring, but, honestly, none of the highly-sought GM's were willing to take on our job. We had to set our sights a little lower and we should now be patient and hope that Babcock's plan will unfold successfully.

MLSE is high on him because they make tons of money between the two teams. But anyone could sell out a leafs game, and the only thing keeping the raptors going is fan loyalty and media anger (and CB4 ). He totally blew the hiring of babcock because he waited too long. Mccloske threatened to leave 3 weeks before the draft with all the scouts if they didn't hire him (in retrospect not such a bad idea ). It's rumored that the guy is constantly meddling in other peoples business, all the players and coaches hate him. I think that with babcock the final straw is whether his draft choices this year play out. I really don't like anything he has done so far... and I?d still like to see him leave, but I?m willing to see if CV and JG work out as well as he hopes. If they do any worse than the guys everyone else thought were the obvious draft picks then he should be fired. Gambling 2 years in a row with our draft picks and coming up empty is crap.
The thing I don't understand is the Raptors braintrust consists of live-and-breath-basketball guys with oodles and oodles of upper executive experience. From Rob Babcock who, yes is a first year GM but long time Asst. GM of the Timberwolves to Pete Babcock, long time GM of the Hawks. Wayne Embry, HALL OF FAME Player and GM of the Bucks and Cavs with 47 years of basketball experience and 2 time NBA exec of the year. How can so many successful NBA execs be so wrong???? Now I know more than the average person, maybe even the slightly abnormal person about NBA basketball. One thing is certain however, Each one of the above mention, knows a hell of a lot more than I do. Each one of them knows a hell of a lot more than anybody who will ever read this post. My point is, no matter how much I may personally think Babcock coulda, shoulda, woulda done something different than I coulda, shoulda, woulda....I don't get paid, and will never get paid by and NBA team to make those decisions because no matter what each and every fan thinks, we have no clue how to run an NBA team.
I think it is obvious that the Raps have arguably the worst management in the NBA. Rob Babcock makes Donald Sterling look good. They are way to thifty with their cap money and have really ruined the teams reputation because now no big names want to sign there. They have made big mistakes ranging from crazy draft picks like Araujo and CV3(both whom they could've gotten with their later picks) to overpaying players drastically like Jalen Rose and Donyell Marshall.

Araujo was a horrible pick, but Villanueva has the skills to be the next Lamar Odom. He is only 21, unlike Araujo who was 24 when he got drafted, so he has a lot to learn to reach his ceiling. Oh yeah, Babcock never signed Rose to his contract, it was Larry Bird (I think, not sure). While Babcock has made some weird moves, nobody should've expected a quick turnaround. He said from day one, it was going to be a 3-4 year plan.
