<div class="quote_poster">Quoting shapecity:</div><div class="quote_post">Pro for the Knicks is it allows Marbury to move to shooting guard, because Rose can be the big PG Larry Brown likes to have. It also gives them another expiring contract for 2007 and a player capable of playing 3 positions. The Knicks don't have a lot of good ballhandlers right now, so adding Rose makes some sense for the Knicks.</div>
Oh no, after 3 games of Rose at PG, the Knicks players, coaches, fans, everyone will start crying and wondering why they ever entertained the idea in the first place. He also can't guard anyone, he's already slow enough defensively against SF's, it's 10 times worse against PG's.

PlaT, are you out of your mind? I'd rather keep Rose around for 2 more years than Marbury for 4 more years. Rose actually is showing signs of leadership this year and he is actually trying on defense. He has what,, $30 million left on his contract but Marbury has $80 million left, not to mention that he definitely would be the chucking, me-first type PG we don't need. Let Calderon battle it out with James until Calderon takes over the starting PG spot.

og15, the Knicks will never have capspace as long as they have Isiah Thomas running things.

Steven A Smith is reporting that the Raptors desparetly want to trade Rose for Penny. So that they can get Max cap room and sign Peja who is supposedly there main target in the offseason.

the knicks are holding off cause

    1. they dont want to spend more money unless it means that they will win

    2. Knicks think they can get more for Toronto then Rose..they want a player the Raptors would give for Peja. Raptors feel they can attract Peja to Toronto.

Mind you, not a lot of leadership. And I did not for once say that Rose played good defense. I said he tried. If you wanna go down the road of being sarcastic, how about Larry Brown and one win? I still remember some Knicks fans saying the Knicks are a lock for the Atlantic Division Champs when they got Larry Brown. Look where you are. You ain't much better than us even with a HOF coach. Thats 2 wins[IMG]. I dont think you can find a knicks fan on this board that said that. Im realistic and I know the Nets have the division. LB just got here and he's not God and he's not going 2 make the knicks contenders right away. Im just saying, how can you find leadership when you have no wins. What is he leading u 2? Losses?

So when a guy like Kevin Garnett leads the Timberwolves to 10 straight losses, he's not a leader anymore? Rose is taking the youngsters under his wing and is not complaining about his minutes. I'm not saying Rose is particularly doing a good job when it comes to shot selection and defence, but this season he is willing to acknowledge that those are the weaknesses to his game and is giving it a try. It has to be a good sign when you consider that the only time Rose showed a sign of defense was when Larry Bird was his coach.

I love Starbury, but PG has never been a problem for the Raps this season. I doubt they'd trade for that position.

Ok, he's not starting problems with coaching and management. Dont you think he wants to do that so that teams would trade for him. I bet he's ready to burst but he doesnt want to hurt his trade value. I have never seen Rose leading a team. He's a great offensive weapon but not a leader. Especially, if you're complaining destroys a teams vibe like in the previous years. LB might change Rose's ways but again the knicks dont need a sf. They need a backup G.
