Virginia Tech is giving Duke all they can handle as they have a 52-51 lead with a little over 11 minutes to go.

Please VT, hold on and beat those Dukies for a second straight year!

Wow! Dockery hit a halfcourt three with 0.5 seconds left to win the game for Duke.

J.J. Redick's shot was really horrible tonight. Had it not been for a bullsh*t intentional foul that gave Duke five points late in the game, it would have been a Hokies win.

Duke isn't horrible, but they're not that great. I can easily name five to ten teams better than them. #1 is waaay too high of a ranking for the Dookies.

Yeah...you just knew the refs would give Duke more time to work with. There was originally just 1 second on the clock but of course the refs knew Duke wouldn't have enough time to get a shot off so they just had to put .6 more seconds on. This crap just pisses me off!

That didn't really make me mad. You see that in just about every game. There were other horrible calls in the game that handed them the game.

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) -- Duke's magic at Cameron Indoor Stadium is alive and well.

Sean Dockery made a heave from about 40 feet with less than a second left, giving the top-ranked Blue Devils an improbable 77-75 victory over Virginia Tech on Sunday night in the Atlantic Coast Conference opener for both teams.

The frantic finish denied the Hokies a stunning upset after they rallied from an 11-point deficit in the final 4? minutes. Coleman Collins capped the comeback by tipping in a miss by Zabian Dowdell, and after conferring with TV replays, the referees put 1.6 seconds back on the clock for the Blue Devils (7-0).

Coach Mike Krzyzewski drew up a play with freshman Josh McRoberts throwing the inbounds pass, and he lofted a perfect one to Dockery just over halfcourt. He took one quick dribble and launched his shot from the "Coach K Court" decal near the sideline.</div>

Duke hasn't blown out opponents like everyone expected them to this season. That being said, they have found ways to win in every game they have played. I think everyone's expectations were to high for this Duke team coming into this year both fans and non-fans alike. I swear that unless they win by 20 points a night people are going to constantly complain about how they shouldn't be the number one team, etc. I know there not these high of expectations(total domination of every game) placed on the likes of Texas, Villanova, Conneticut.

As I watching that game. I yelled out Take the defender off the inbounds pass and have Duke play 5 on 6. Then when Dockery's defender just let him catch the ball and give him an open shot. I couldnt believe it. I understand that the VT defender did want to foul but you also dont want to let a good shooter have an open look at the basket. This is not HIll Laettner Part 2. It was a good shot though.

Duke is so beatable at this point it's not even funny. If I were a Duke fan (which by any means I'm not) I wouldn't be happy with my teams play so far. Sure they are undefeated but they went down to the wire with Memphis, Drexel, and Virginia Tech. This is no National Champion...

I think it was the right decision to put a large postman on the ball. That way McRoberts couldn't have a clear pass to wherever he wanted. What got me was how wide open Dockery got. That was a great shot for 1.6 seconds.
