I agree, you can't hit every time you are called upon to hit a game winner... Even the greatest players, A.K.A Jordan, missed a few... he is still only 21.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TDoug:</div><div class="quote_post">Tim Duncan was the future of the NBA 8 years ago. Today, Chris Paul is the future. Lebron is another great player, but the other two have the Bruce Lee conquering spirit. The next 8 belong to Paul. Why don't we call his team the Southwest Hornets with the new "Pauldome" in New Orleans, with games in OK City (20) and a few in Baton Rouge and St. Louis? Seriously, Lebron James needs to get out of Cleveland because that Franchise should have gotten a great point guard by now (at least the Spurs beat the bushes for T. Parker and coached him to greatness). James needs to go to Chicago or Washington where he can win a ring. The Hornets will win the Championship in 2008 or no later than 2009. Dallas is bringing it home for the next two years.</div>

No way Hornets are winning it all in 3 years..they have a GOOD PG in Paul right now, but he needs another scorer in a big man, an all around SF and a garbage scrapper player to clean up the mess. You really think they can get all that and develop chemistry in 3 years?

It was a little joke man, you don't have to prove anything..but that statement was...out there.

He's averaging 31ppg. That's good enough for me. Besides, isn't he just a senior in college right now. The "it" will come in time. I think we all know that.

he's not totally off, pippen was known as a great overall player. scoring wise his career is 16 ppg. and i think his best year, when michael left was like 24 ppg. So offensively him and odom aren't so far apart.

Name 3 players who have developed 'it' over their careers.

Hornets have David West and J.R. Smith and Chris Paul. Within 3 years who wouldn't want to play with Paul? Greg Oden? Kenin Garnett? Throw in a couple of 3-point specialists with pass skills, no turnovers, no fouls, and you have the Spurs. I can dream.

The "killer instinct" isn't an instinct at all. It's a combination of competitiveness, aggressiveness, and self-confidence at the end of games. It's not like "it" is a gene, or something. The more experience one has, and the more one grows into a role of team leader, the more these qualities will come out. To say that a 21 year old player can't develop "it" is simply ridiculous.
