<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Brian:</div><div class="quote_post">i cant really think of any, but remember the lakers roll call? i swore that thread had more questions. what questions they were i completely forgot</div> There weren't many more questions, there was "favourite Laker play" which is basically the same as the "favourite moment."
How long have you been a fan? God, I feel like a senior citizen here. I started following the Lakers as a kid, as a fan of the real LA Laker MDE center - Kareem Abdul-Jabbar - in the early 80's. Started watching the Lakers win their championships in 1982, with the team of Magic, Kareem, Norm Nixon, and Jamaal Wilkes. And the hard part was I could watch the Lakers only when they're in the Finals, because long ago, our local TV only carries the Finals. Otherwise I would have follow them through the sports pages. Thank God for all the media today! Who are your current 3 favorite Lakers? Kobe Bryant is No. 1. He belongs to another category. My next 3 then would be Lamar Odom, Kwame Brown, and Sasha Vujacic, because like Kobe, they are practically the most maligned players in the NBA today. I root for these underdogs to get to their shining moments of victory. What is your favorite Laker moment? So many to choose from: from breaking the Celtic jinx to breaking the Repeat barrier to the more recent Threepeat. I would say the rally in the 2000 conference finals against Portland 15 points down in the 4th quarter would be most memorable. Most historic would be Kobe's 81 point night. Who are your 2 all time favorite Lakers? Kareem and Magic. Kobe makes it 3. __________________

I recalculated when I actually started watching the Lakers. That was back in '86. I've actually been a fan for more than 20 years now.

1. Since 1991, when the Bulls and Lakers made the finals. 2. Kobe, Mihm, Turiaf. I think they play with the most heart. 3. When Kobe kept jacking up airballs against Utah in the playoffs his rookie year. Obviously they didn't win that game, but that's how he won me over because it said a lot about his character. The guy is a competitor and when the game is on the line, he wants the ball in his hands because he's not afraid to miss. Even when he does miss, he doesn't let it get him down and you wouldn't want anyone else taking the shot anyways. 4. Magic and Kobe.
