<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">A relative of Allen Iverson was one of three juveniles arrested after police found drugs and guns in a car registered to the Philadelphia 76ers star, authorities said.

Authorities believe Iverson, who has not been accused of any wrongdoing, may have given or loaned the car, a 2005 Ford Mustang, to the relative.

"The car was this kid's car for this kid's use," said Montgomery County District Attorney Bruce Castor. "We're confident that there's no criminal activity on Iverson's part."

Castor said authorities were not sure how the two were related.

The juveniles were arrested April 12 after police responding to a call found a group of teenagers near the car in Conshohocken, a Philadelphia suburb. Inside the vehicle, police said they found bags of drugs and two handguns.

The 76ers declined to comment on the arrests. The names of the juveniles were not released.

Good Iverson wasn't in it or hopefully had nothing to do with it.

Seems like Iverson is completely innocent. I wish I had enough money to lend out a 2005 Ford Mustang to a cousin lol.

Even though the DA is saying he is completely innocent, this whole this is going to get blown out of proportion because it is Iverson...

He showed up... he was just late, and both he and Webber apologized.

Whoa... I responded to bball_spida's post, and it put mine before his? WTF!

Yes it will get blown way out of proportion, and him not showing up to the game on time this week just adds to it.

Wonderful! This is the kind of player I want leading my team to the playoffs. Honestly I have had enough of A.I. and in my mind he is already off the team. Too bad this will make him harder to trade though...

You act like the man did something wong. If your uncle bought you a car and you were found with drugs in it does that have anything to do with your uncle?

    Hop off!

It doesn't matter, it's his car. If something were to happen to the car HE is liable for it.

Everyone here is still missing the big picture, he was late to Fan Appreciation night.

I'm sure if the Sixers had around 10 wins at the All-Star break it would be okay for Iverson to miss the rest of the season right? They're useless games I mean why not? There's more to it than the gun and drugs found in HIS car. He missed fan appreciation night, the one night in the year where he gives back to the people that pay his seven figure salary. There's around three Sixer's fans from Philadelphia here, that actually go to the games, that know what I mean. If any of you saw how Billy King responded in his post game interview, then that's how the whole stadium felt for 48 minutes when they saw no #3 or #4. In case you haven't noticed, Philadelphia is a broke town. People scrub up what ever money they get to watch Iverson drop 45 on someone. If I were at the game I'd be asking for my money back because <font size=""4"">IT'S DISRESPECTFUL</font>. He's a professional athlete and he should have went out like a professional athlete. Watch the post game interviews next time, Mo Cheeks was furious, Billy King was pissed, and the fans they interviewed felt used. This was just like the big middle finger or a big slap in the face to all the fans. Get Iverson and his baggage out of here before other teams don't want him...

Is it so hard to just show up on time and give the fans something, just something so that this could have been avoided. Even a waive when he name was called in street clothes (that violated the dress code), or a nice thank you speech for paying my multi-million dollar contract, or even just SUIT UP AND GET ON THE COURT FOR THE FIRST QUARTER. Or even if you don't play, maybe telling the coach might help, or telling the fans, or your teammates. If he didn't want to play that's just plain selfish, and don't give me the #%&^ that he was hurt.

    YOU sound pretty pathetic complaining.

C.K.'s right. It's the fact that the car is registered to him. You think, being a role model, he'd be smart enough to talk to his family about the thug life and image? Well, it looks like he didn't.

Also, not showing up on time to fan appreciation night? I don't get how some people stick with him, that's obvious disrespect towards the Philly fans. Hasn't Billy King promised a big off-season? I'd say the only safe player is Iggy. The Clipper were interested in Iverson a year or so back, I bet that hasn't change.

Knowing King he'll probably trade Iguodala for a lifetime supply of Whoppers...

This thread isn't about missing fan appreciate night is it?

How am I complaining? Your the one who hates on AI every chance you get.

In that case we should see a lot of other peoples relatives on the news. There are so many young people doing drugs and smoking weed. It happened to be a superstars relative so its automatically going to be blwon out of proportion. Where were these kids parents at? AI barely has the time to spend with his own family much less those who probably don't even live with him, how is it his responsibility to tell these fools how to act. If its anybodys job to be a role model, its these kids parents, not AI just becuase he is in the lime light.

Why didn't the Philadelphia media report that AI and C Webb were'nt going to play? The team should have imformed the media that in the first place, because both AI and Webber were banged up in the first place. If the fans really want to meet the players go after the game and you could meet them easily.

I agree, it was pretty sorry that AI and Webb showed up late like that. But you act like they didn't show up at all, and AI never watches games from the bench when he is hurt.

Don't even try to tell me that Iverson and Webber were hurt, just at the exact same time, just as they were eliminated from the playoffs. If the Nets game meant anything Iverson and Webber would be on the court. That's the point, he's a selfish punk and I've had enough of his %^&# on and off the court.

ok. i for one, do agree that AI should be traded. i want for us to start unew and clean the slate. but still, i dont think you should be hating on AI so much. i mean, from your posts, CK, it seems like AI came directly into your home and robbed you and killed your wife or something. seriously. give the guy a break. B-22 was right. AI barely has the time to go out and look after his own family, not to mention his relatives. you cant blame AI if his brother's son borrowed his car, and smoked weed in it. it should have been that kids parents looking after him. although i do agree that showing up late for the game was not a sign of sportsmanship, or anything good for that matter, but AI has been with this team for 10 seasons. the guy never demanded a trade from what i remember, and stuck through with the sixers through the good times and the bad. also, AI was the sole reason the sixers even got into the finals. without him, they probably wouldnt have gotten pass the raptors

not trying to offend you or anything CK. lol. im just saying, take the hating down a notch

I can feel C.K's pain, if I paid for a 76ers game and Allen Iverson didn't show up I would be way more pissed than C.K is right now. I'd throw something at Iverson if I saw him on the street and steal his money for wasting my mine.
