http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/powerRankings I know they are probably basing this off of the playoff teams but last year really was an unsual case of accumulated team injuries. How would you guys rank the rockets coming into 2006-2007 season?
The clippers deserve 5, there team is one of the most balanced in the game. the only thing im wondering is why the lakers r 11th, lol.
It's by a basketball magazine that advertises itself as a "NBA Lifestyle mag". The Rockets haven't made any moves yet in free agency, and the writer obviously is a Rudy Gay fan. As for JBB fans, almost all think that the Rockets are a seed 4 to 6 in the Western Conference playoff scene. http://www.justbball.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56288
if tmac and Yao are healthy you're an idiot if you don't think this team is in the top 8 or 10 teams in the league.
We're not nearly as bad as they put us. But if this team stands pat, I think CD and Van Gundy need to be fired at midseason. We were supposed to get younger and more athletic, and had a significant chance to do that in the draft. But we drafted a VERY athletic player and traded him and Stro without getting enough in return. If you look at the roster, we haven't really fixed the holes. We still don't have a legit shooting guard, we still don't have an athletic bigman, or a solid back up PG. John Lucas has played great in summer leagues, but I don't see him as a key to winning a championship. Snyder is athletic, but I can just imagine Ginobli blowing right past him. This team is catered too much toward Van Gundy's lack of offense. It seems like we're gonna attempt to win games by running out the clock instead of putting points on the board.

Ranking might be closer than you think (or hope). I am sure we will do much better than 19th, but it all depends on TMacs back problems. He has never played all 82 games in a season. Hopefully the only thing he has been doing the entire summer is working on that problem (that would be great for the fans, but would suck for him). I am hoping that he will play at least 75 games with at least 70 full games... and get the scoring title.
