<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> ANAHEIM, California (Ticker) -- The Los Angeles Lakers almost let one slip away.

Brian Cook scored 16 points off the bench and Ronny Turiaf added 15 as the Lakers held on for a 104-101 preseason victory over the Seattle SuperSonics.

Cook made 7-of-10 shots, including two 3-pointers, and Turiaf netted 6-of-8 attempts for Los Angeles, which improved to 2-0 in exhibition play.

Lakers first-round pick Jordan Farmar converted a steal into a breakaway jam for a 100-95 lead with 2:06 left. Turiaf made a layup over a minute later to push the margin to seven.

But the Sonics put together a 6-0 burst, capped by a pair of free throws by Damien Wilkins with nine seconds to go, to close within 102-101. Turiaf sank two foul shots on the other end before Desmon Farmer misfired desperation attempt as time expired.

Kwame Brown had 11 points and Farmar added 10 and five assists for Los Angeles, which made 7-of-14 shots from the arc.

Nick Collison scored 14 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter and Rashard Lewis and Ray Allen both added 15 for the SuperSonics, who went 1-of-12 from 3-point range. Seattle's first-round selection in June, Mouhamed Sene had two points, two blocks and four fouls in eight minutes.</div>

don't use nba.com for Box Score, it's crap, it didn't work last game either.

Use ESPN, here's the link: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=261012013

Anyways, Farmar and Cook were really impressive tonight, Vlad was appalling at 1-8 fg, wtf? Get your act together Vlad.

Maybe Brian Cook really is the best sharpshooter on this team, Vlad has been really disappointing I must say.

Turiaf and Luke had solid games too. Really surprised Bynum didn't get that much playing time.

Im loving the way Odom, Farmar, and Brown have been playing. Cook seems to be the best shooter right now on the team.. dont know whats the deal with Vlad.. I want to see more Bynum on the floor too! Its really going to be a fun season!

Aw crap, hopefully the unsuccessful trend of mid-level exceptions won't continue with Vlad... Hopefully it won't though, I assume that he'll play better with Kobe.

Hurrah! Season is almost here so I'm back! lol.
