a bar is FOUR LINES. y'all are getting way too precise with the bars/lines crap.. why don't you just say it can't be more than 16 lines long? If youre lines are so long that they spill over the edge of the margin, then you only do 8 lines. if your lines are short like that cat in the hat line, you do 16.....
A bar is not 4 lines phun...... I say we set it to 20 lines (20 bars) one bar is one line,lol, I've been trying to tell yall that..... 20 lines isn't, I say we do a maximum of 20 and a minimum of 16.
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 ------------- 17 18 19 20 ------------- I like that as a maximum. There's no reason to put a minimum, though. If a person doesn't think he needs any more lines or can't think of any more, that should be on them.

I think I know what your thinking though. Cause I used to be in piano, and in most songs a bar is 4 beats not lines. Thats why I think a bar is 2 lines, cause in most hip hop songs it takes 2 beats to do 1 line.

lol I unno, I've always written my lines the way I posted before. In the last tourney, that's exactly what I did and I'd usually have like 10-12 bars...so that equals to 20-24 lines in total. I used to battle at rapflava.com a looooong time ago, and that's how they split up the bars (most competitors) so that's where I got it from.
Have you guys finished the battle or what?? I would like to either judge or participate for the heck of it.
We've got enough competitors and we're just settling on a date. If/when Brian is absent, you can be a replacement judge, I guess.
