Next time someone shoots the ball, the Suns should slide their foot under the shooter to try to injure them. Because essentially, you can do that. It is a rule.

What an ignorant comment. It was once a "rule" in this country to segregate and that was defended by George Wallace as the "correct" way of life. It was once a rule that all Jews had to wear a star in public in Germany. This "rule" needs to change so that it can allow for fairness and correctness to comingle. Stern cancelled his trip to the valley- some backbone, throw down the iron fist behind steel walls. Stern could have used this incident as a springboard to change in the future.

There is nothing we can do now, except hope for a victory in game 5. However, I don't think coaches, players, and owners can ignore the fact that there is something intrinsicly wrong with a rule whose ends do not promote fairness. If this rule is not revised incidents like this will continue to occur and outrage.

So, they need to change a rule that prevents players from running on court and going nuts? This is a totally different scenario, no one's life is in jeopardy and people earing huge digits in $$$ should be professional and follow the rules.

Prevents??? If this rule prevents this then how come it keeps happenning?? And if you think that what Amare and Diaw were doing was "going nuts" then maybe you didn't watch the game. I don't think the teams should be penalized especially when it was the Spurs who provoked the incident. In my opinion fining players huge sums of money with no suspensions would be a much better way to go about things. Then if Amare wants to run onto the court he will do so at his own cost, and it would not hurt the team. And as far as people who make big money acting professional?? Is this some moral obligation for rich people? the more money you earn the more professional you must act? Who sets the bar for what is professional? I said the rule is arbitrarily based and not applicable to all cases, thus it should be reformed, not that the intent of the rule should be nullified.

44-33 Phoenix at halftime. Marion with 20/11 already at the half!

20and11 at the half wow and how many points did he finish with? i give the suns credit tho, they were up by sixteen at one point and gave the spurs a run for thier money. but in the first half spurs couldn't make shots they usually make. lets see what game 6 brings to the table. like i've said before Spurs in six.

I'll still stick to my original prediction of Suns in 7. Amare and Diaw are coming back rested and they were obviously the difference in this game. They needed a Stoudemire to finish the game and a Diaw to move the ball while Nash rested. I'll give the Spurs credit for this win. They came back from 16 and didn't do it with dirty plays. They did it with clutch shooting and stops at the end.

Nash made some critical mistakes at the end of this game. Fouling Ginobili behind the 3point line, and some costly mistakes with the basketball.

Shawn Marion also disappeared in the 2nd half after a quick start. He had 20/11 at the half, but only managed 4 more points and 6 more rebounds.

The Suns played with a lot of heart, being handicapped in this game with Amare and Diaw suspended, but they just didn't have enough juice and options to close out the games.

Michael Finley has hit some daggers in this series.

And there's NO way Duncan can handle AMare. Those two behind the back passes by Nash to Amare for lay-ups were awesome! Amare went RIGHT around Duncan and left him pinned to the floor. I'm suprsied he didn't throw somthin nasty down on TD's chrome dome.

Anyway, Robert Horry's a punk with that forearm shivver. I'm really rooting for the Suns, here, you guys have really weathered the storm!</div>

I know this is late but, Duncan was playing with five fouls at the end of that game so he couldn't play defense.

Yeah, the Suns did somewhat choke, but Tim Duncan's defense the last half of the fourth quarter was amazing.

I was very surprised that he put himself in position to get that call. And Raja was fouled (when he got the T), but when the game is that close, you have to keep your head in the game.

What is the deal with Barbosa though? I can't believe that he has totally disappeared like this. It's not like when the Lakers changed their gameplan to stop Barbosa specifically. The Spurs aren't doing much differently than they always do (which I admit can be effective), but he has had multiple.....MULTIPLE open shots that been missed. You gotta raise your level to make it to the next one and he hasn't done that. I really hope he gets the rhythm back because the league.....fans....THE WORLD needs this series to go 7 and have a clean, indisputible outcome.
