I love horry but are you kidding me? The Lakers would tear those spurs up. Who's going to guard Magic? Let alone Worthy and Kareem.

I agree. He must be high on his seventh ring.

I don't think they'd beat the Celtics or Lakers. 80s Celtic had one of the strongest frontcourts in NBA history. 80s Lakers just too damn fast and too damn smart to let San Antonio beat them mentally the way they do a lot of teams.

WHen you get to the 90s, my feelings change. I don't think Jordan's Bulls beat the current Spurs, but I think those Rockets championship squad would have a good shot.

    RESPECT THEM!!

My gosh Dream quit hating on the darn Spurs. You've been critizing Duncan this whole playoffs and the Spurs and now you're putting them down again. They can compete with any of the great teams. Give them some respect. They're better than those 90s Rockets teams for sure</div>

I agree, you gotta respect a team that was able to sweep the Cavs AND keep King James at such a low shot percentage. That accomplishment alone deserves respect.

No way in hell would Jordan's bulls beat the 07 Spurs.

which piston and laker teams are you talking about???....you're foolish if you don't think that '95 team couldn't compete with any NBA Finals team in history...they faced more competition in ONE post-season than the spurs have over the past 10 seasons.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">I don't think Jordan's Bulls beat the current Spurs, but I think those Rockets championship squad would have a good shot.</div>

Like the Rockets, the Bulls faced much better comp. than S.A.....Grant, Rodman, Cartwright could at least contain Duncan, and Pippen, Jordan, etc. defense wouldn't allow Parker and Manu to dance into the lane so easily...you guys are really disrespecting the past a lot in this thread by saying ridiculous things like "not being able to compete"...that's just insane.

What are you talking about?!?! Are you trying to say that '95 team's path of competition was not parallel to that of the 07 Cavs! [IMG]

Hahaha, so true. Bad analogy on my part.
Your right about me being diehard cavs fan though. We are of a rare breed and this tends to conflict with our basketball IQ when we make statements and predictions!

LeBron kept himself at a low percentage by not being able to hit open jumpers.

I wouldn't rank these Spurs among the greatest teams of all-time but with their team concept I wouldn't put it past them to steal a couple games from those teams and maybe steal a series from one of the championship Bulls teams.

Nothing touches the 83 Sixers if we're talking about teams from the 80-90s.
