I'm big time bias, but I would rather have Al Horford over Andrew Bynum. Brendan Wright I would also probably rather have and maybe Yi, but other than that I would put Bynum at 5 or 6 in this draft.</div>

No way Boston does that deal. Who are you kidding?

Yeah, I think it's a no brainer that Boston is giving Minnesota a very good package. However, Glen Taylor has respect for KG and is going to trade him where he wants to go if the package is sufficient. KG turned down a deal to Boston.

look at this...i messaged the Kobe Video Guy's myspace and told them about the bad news from TBN. here's what they replied back to me.....

"thats old news...our insiders confirm five minutes ago that kobe and kevin spoke on the phone and garnett is going to be announced a laker in 24hours....the KVG has direct contact with insiders"

our conversation went on and the guy sounded pretty convincing.

Why not make this a 3 team deal?

Lakers Send: Andrew Bynum and Odom to Boston and #19 to Minny.

Boston Sends: #5, Gerald Green, Theo Ratiff to
    Minnesota.

    Minnesota sends: KG to LA.

Boston would get a better roster with Odom and Bynum. So just cut the Pacers out.

ESPN says its a possible two team deal now. The holdup is by T- Wolves. They make it seem like its about to happen any minute.

They are doing that so that people will watch ESPN for at least the next 24 hours until something happens.

I believe it's McHale holding the deal up. We should throw in a future first rounder or one of our second rounders, if the deal is this close to being done....finish it.

Of course it's McHale holding it up. Odom, Bynum, #19 is probably not enough to get KG.

You guys would be pissed if Kupchak was considering a similar deal for Kobe.

Kobe at 28? Yes. Kobe at 31? No. And Kobe is arguably a better player than Garnett; the inverse is false.

Obviosuly Buss tried to catch Taylor, who left for his honeymoon this morning to china to get a deal done for KG. So therefore McHell doesnt want to trade Garnett with the pieces the Lakers are offering and were back to square one unless the owners get involved

It's awfully convenient for these owners to take trips abroad right when sh*t begins to hit the fan.

Kobe is currently 28, if you got a deal that was Lamar Odom, Andrew Bynum, and #19 pick for Kobe you would laugh at it.

Not to mention the Lakers value for Kobe will be much lower than his actual player value because of his media insults directed to the Lakers and KG has just been quiet about it. The value for Kobe and the value for KG are very similar based on that fact. (I'd still give Kobe the slight edge though because he is a better player)

Minnesota could do so much better but I'm dying to see a Kobe and KG duo so I'm hoping the Lakers land him.

What are you babbling on about?

Kobe is currently 28, so yes, at his current age that wouldn't be enough compensation. But Garnett is 31. At 31, I think players like Odom, Bynum and some picks would be reasonable compensation for Kobe.

And you're kidding yourself if you think Kobe's "insults" hurt him more than KG's inability to consistently get out of the playoffs with supporting casts that have historically been much, much better than what Kobe has now.

PBN is a small time organization, why would these "sources" (which are mentioned repeatedly yet are anonymous) go to PBN and not espn, yahoo, SI, RealGM, hoopsworld or some other credible site.

Also, this article contradicts itself when it says:

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Timberwolves are expected to continue seeking a deal for Garnett, and will likely focus their attention again on Boston and possibly Phoenix.
"It seems like they don?t want (Garnett) playing in the Western Conference, and that only makes sense,? the first source said.</div>

Pheonix is in the Western Conference- that statement doesn't make sense.

Also, Minnesota wants no part in Marion and Marion wants no part of Minnesota so the only way it'll happen is if Amare is sent to the T-wolves. As has been noted before, that doesn't make much sense for the suns because essentially Amare and Garnett are equal players, so trading for Garnett does not really make them THAT much better; essentially, it'd be a lateral move. In addition to that Garnett is 5 years older than Amare so they'd really be mortgaging the future because everyone knows that Amare is the Suns insurance plan after Nash retires.
