http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/474...rade_to_lakers/ Now! if only he could persuade larry bird in accepting a deal for Bynum, Vlad and Kwame LOL
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"Me and Kobe have been on each other since we were 15</div> That just sounds wrong LOL <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"What people don't realize when they consider my last three years to be 'down years' is that I was physically hurt," said O'Neal, who missed 82 games during that stretch. "I went out and played on knees I needed to take care of. My meniscus, I put that off for two years [before having surgery in April]. I'm 100 percent right now. I really want an opportunity to rejuvenate myself. At 28, I'm going into my prime. The game is slowing down for me, I understand it a lot more, so I'm ready to go out and show people what I could really do."</div> I cant wait for this to become a reality! Kobe with the usual 28ppg 4rpg *8apg* (coz of JO) JO with 20ppg and 10rpg will do Odom (if we can keep him then his presence alone will be a benefit) And heres the best part: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">My decision is for me to get better as a player, and if things don't work out this year, I have an option in my contract next year and I will opt out and become a free agent." </div> Im sure the Pacers are gonna REALLY try trade JO... they wouldnt wanna lose him without getting anything in return... PLUS JO clearly stated that he had 2 options LA or NJ... and if he was able to choose he'd pick LA... I only hope that Bird gets hit by a rock or something and accepts a JO for Bynum, Vlad?, Kwame, Vujacic or Farmar, picks LOL
I guess if JO wants to be traded to the Lakers, that would make it easier on our side to get a deal done without losing Odom.
I better hope that Kupchack tries to get JO in a Lakers uniform. The Lakers would be a better team with JO and Kobe.
So? Jason Kidd wanted to be a Laker, Baron Davis wanted to be a Laker, and nothing happened. Unless Jermaine O'Neal comes out and demands a trade to Los Angeles, his statements don't mean jack. Mitch for once, has to get something done, and my faith in the front office is at an all-time low. This is also old news, Jermaine said he wanted to play for the Lakers when the trade rumors first surfaced, and nothing has happened Btw, someone should move this to the Jermaine O'Neal thread

^They would rather get Bynum more than Odom. Bynum, Kwame and Evans isn't enough to get him. We would probably have to add Farmar or Crittenton and some draft picks. We would have the better chance at getting him than the Nets. Pacers are going into rebuilding mode and trading Bynum to them is perfect. Only problem is that we don't want to give away Odom too. Nets on the other hand is most likely offering Jefferson, thats not exactly going younger and they already have Granger, unless Nets are including Marcus Williams. But I won't believe anything until i see it.
Indiana won't want to trade within their conference, IMO. If JO gets dealt it will be to a Western Conference team. I think the best deal for both sides is Bynum, Crittenton, Kwame, Sasha, Evans, and the Lakers 1st for this year. Lakers get a trio of Kobe, JO, Odom. Pacers get 2 young players with massive potential and cap space to get under the luxury tax(although they will still have to do other deals to actually have cap space to spend). Here's the RealGm trade checker with my proposed deal. ---------------- Successful Trade Scenario Congratulations on a successful trade. Due to Indiana and L.A. Lakers being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Indiana and L.A. Lakers had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Trade ID #4165440 Indiana Trade Breakdown Change in Team Outlook: +9.5 ppg, +6.7 rpg, and +2.4 apg. No way JO will have 20/10 season on the West side! I really think Bynum can do 15/10 if he worked hard this summer and if gets a chance to play 35-40 minutes.

From my understanding about potential Jermaine O'Neal deals, the Lakers want to acquire him without trading Andrew Bynum. The Lakers are willing to take back either Dunleavy Jr. or Murphy in order to keep Bynum. The Lakers would be sending out Odom + Kwame + fillers. Another rumor is the Lakers shipping out Bynum ONLY if the Pacers also take Radman as part of the package and send Granger over to the Lakers. Bynum is close to untouchable at this point from the Lakers front office point of view. It could just be a ploy to boost up Bynum's stock, or they might really feel Bynum is going to meet expectations. Should be interesting to see how this plays out.
at this rate and with our showing so far...nothing will play out unless JO slaps the GM into letting him come.
Lakers trade to Pacers: Jordan Farmr Lamar Odom Vlad Radmanovic Kwame Brown A future 2nd round pick Pacers trade to Lakers: Mike Dunleavy Jermaine O'Neal (with the assurances that you can sign him to an extension) Line ups Indiana Tinsley/Diener/Farmar Daniels/Williams/Rush/Owens Granger/Radmanovic
Forget it. JO and LO are vertually the same player, only LO already knows the triangle. JO is a free agent next year and will want a five year deal. Lakers are already commited to Bynum. Give Bynum 35 minutes a game and let's see what he can do for a full season. Indiana wants too much for JO. If they take Kwame and Radman then fine, make the trade, otherwise forget it. Next year the Lakers will have Kwame's expiring contract to go after free agents.

The Lakers could potentially use Kwame in a sign and trade, or get some value for him before the trading deadline.
