    who do you think is?

I'm going with LeBron. He honestly can't do anything other then Dunk and Playmake.

He can make a basket farther then 10 ft.

LeBron is probably the most overrated star he only beated the pistons because the pistons were stupid enough to just let LeBron drive in half the time.

Well No. But still every one thinks that this guy is the M.J and the best player today.

well not being able to score farther then 10 ft and not being able to play defense is not a good way to becoming the Next Jordan.

I agree 100% he is the most over-rated by farrr.. can rarely close a game out when it matters... he is scared to take the last shot of the game.. weak defense.. poor shooter. Dont get me wrong he is one of the best but very overrated..

Kobe. he's not as clutch as people think and he's too selfish to be a good leader out on the floor

    LeBron, Carmelo,Lewis,Pierce,Jefferson,McGrady,Richardson,Wallace. Not that weak.

The most over rated has got to be LeBron, just because of how they refer to him when the Cavs play. Like "Will LeBron finally beat the Spurs?"...well, their are 4 other guys playing with him, and he isn't that clutch. In fact, I rather have Wade then him, because he is clutch. LeBron is great, but over rated isn't enough to describe this guy.

David Lee. I know he's not a superstar.
But if you had never seen a knicks game and only heard about him from the internet, you'd think he's god.

Him and Trevor Ariza. (And I'm a Magic fan)

    McGrady is a shooting guard.

LeBron's only challenge at the SF is Shawn Marion and Melo.

Vince Carter. People (including me) have realized that this guy can never be more than what he is already, yet he's still referred to as a superstar. He's just a star, and this is coming from a big Carter fan (atleast the Carter in his T.O days).

No offense to the Lebron fans out there, but I also find him grossly overrated. I watched the 48 point game and while some parts of the game where he took over made me go "wow he's on fire", it didn't really feel like a "historic" game to me.

The thing about Jordan, or even Kobe (I don't wanna start a flame war), is that when they do something amazing, you can actually feel it when you watch the game. With the Lebron thing, it was more hype than anything else, all thrust down our throats by the media for 48 straight hours after the game.

I didn't feel it was the "Lebron's coming-of-age" game like it was proclaimed through the media and the internet. I believe that Lebron is more media hype than anything else. Before you freak out by that comment, read what I have to say first.

I think he is a superstar no doubt, but he isn't even on par with Wade yet. The reason he was so touted as a rookie was because he passed the ball as well as any point guard in the league. Nowadays, he's more about the scoring than anything else.

I realize that it's because the Cavs players aside from him are not that good, but nonetheless, I just don't like the fact that the media proclaims him as the King no matter what he does. I think he'll be 49873958734908734 x better than what he is now in a few years, and when he actually becomes the complete player I envision he will be, than I will not call him overrated. For now, everything about him is inflated by the media, atleast to me.

    Most Overrated Players Via Internet

Well I thought of this when reading tmacyaokobe01 thread on Overated Superstars that can be found here

But anyways, In my opinion players are constantly overrated over the internet. So go ahead and post your guys...

I'm gonna start with Nate Robinson. Dude hasnt proved anything in his career except that he has a bad attitude and can dunk...with multiple attempts. And everyone loves him over the internet. Just look at JBB homepage and you'll see his face in the main graphic.

David Lee Overrated? Since when does he even get mentioned away from his ongoing hustle and his double-double average last year. Been in the league for 2 years and has put-up promising numbers, i dont get where you would get this overrated stuff from. Same with Ariza, aside from his dunks you don't really hear anything about him.

I was speaking in means of internet. And basketball forums. You'll find those two in everyones sigs. And everyone will put up page length arguements on while they'll someday be allstars. There good players but some people are just to good of fans.

You'll find them in sigs because people love their enthusiasm and playmaking abilities. They're both exciting players and easily fan favorites. They both also have promising futures so naturally people will think high of Lee and Ariza.

yeah to me LeBron is overrated so is dwyane wade IMO. yes, he is a hell of a player and an all star but the best player in the league? NO he is very clutch but he is protrayed as the best palyer in the game by the media. he still has no 3 point shot his mid range game is good but he mainley scores by penetration and getting to the foul line. the refs sometimes just give him calls and he is still not as complete as kobe or other superstars in the league today. since there is a new patch of young talent the media blows them up a the saviors of the game. i think he will be the best one of the best in 2 years but right now he is not IMO.

How is he overrated. No one ever suggested he's a superstar. He's only the only NBA player who comes off the bench and averages a double-double. And no one overrates Nate Robinson. At least not here. You must be talking about other internet forums.

Point is, all fans, especially from forums dedicated to their teams, tend to overrate their players.
