What's crazy is I remember when Kobe was 24. I look back then, then I look at myself and think, "I'm getting old."
I wonder when Bryant will hit his prime. Maybe he'll be peaking this season and the next. Whatever the case is, at least he has a full year before he's 30. 30's like the new 40 in the NBA. I remember when you used to have tons of guys in the 35-40 age range, but now there's only a handfull of guys that old in the league.
Happy Birthday man. Don't get too depressed this season. It seems like a good idea that you lost weight too, that should give you more stamina and such.

Athletic wise, he probably peaked 3 or 4 seasons ago, but what he's lost physically, he's gained mentally. His goal was to play at a high level for another team seasons after he made the jersey switch. Kobe's intense training and open mind about various training techniques should allow him to achieve another 10 years of star play.
Happy Birthday to Kobe! I wish his birthday present was JO... <div class="quote_poster">shapecity Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">should allow him to achieve another 10 years of star play.</div> That seems to high even for Kobe, that means he will be at "star" level at age 39. What do you mean by star? Like an all-star?
Kobe seems to be in the best shape of his career so I wouldn't go as far as saying he already peaked physically wise.. I see him being great until he retires someone with his dedication and training I think he will still be one of the best when he hits 39.

I meant in regards to his high flying act and quick second jump. Kobe still gets up, but not as high and explosive as he once did.
happy b-day kobe. wow cant believe it's been more than ten years now since he entered the league, makes me feel old. the guy's just peaking, and should give us more incredible no.s, plays, and memories for some time.
Happy Birthday...I gotta give you props for the huge scoring game, but I dun't remember against who, oh well.
