What is there to lose in putting him in now?

We play Cleveland next week, which would seem perfect to throw him in, but we play New England after. I wouldn't want to throw him into that situation. After that we have a bye, so he would have twoo weeks to prepare.

I would start Lemon for the next 2 weeks and see what he does....if he plays well, he earns the right to keep playing, if he struggles at all, then you make the change after the bye....many teams have changed QBs after the bye, giving the new starter 2 weeks of practice

His confidence. Throwing him into the fire "might" have a Tim Couch effect. I'd say hold off until all possible other options are exhausted.

I'd even play Marty Booker (A HS QB) play before Beck... maybe letting Wes W go was a mistake. lol

To date, they only have 2 QB's on the roster. I'd heard they might sign Hamdanoff Barfalo's practice squad. He was w/ the phins in TC & is familar w/ Cam's scheme.

Rumor: Aaron Brooks to Miami... he was brought to NOLA by Mueller. I'm glad Carolina signed Vinny.

IMO, I think he might be subbed in during halftime this week if Lemon isn't doing well. But then again, the comment about playing after the bye seems more likely.

If Lemon is stinking it up, then things change....but if i was planning on easing a rookie in under center, Id prefer to do it during a bye week when he can take 2x the reps before the game

    Check out the 8th paragraph.

I bet that Beck never sees the field in his 1st season a la P Rivers. Lemon did okay vs the Colts & Jets last yr/

Cleo's stats for the Houston game are comparable to Trent's against Dallas and Oakland

I will love Lemon too if he plays well....hes young enough that he could be the QB of the future if he proves hes an NFL starter....you got a 28 year old and a 26 year old, so which ever one plays better should start in my opinion

I've seen enough of Lemon to say that he's nothing special. Good backup, that's all.

I dont want Beck in against the Patriots or Giants. Let Lemon get pounded. The Beck Era starts November 11th in Miami against the Buffalo Bills and their rookie QB.

If Beck does play then 11/11 against the Bills in Miami(after the bye) is ideal. It is ironic starting a rookieon Veteran's day.

If Beck does play they need to sign his favorite target (Last YR @ BYU). Johnny Harline was just released from Indy's practiced squad.

Miami still has a roster spot, but, only 2 QB &4 WR's on the roster. So, a 3rd TE may be a luxury.
