<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (NetsDaily)</div><div class='quotemain'>Al Iannazzone reports three young Nets–Marcus Williams, Sean Williams and Josh Boone–are back at the team practice facility working out, and Maurice Ager will be soon. They and rehabbing Vince Carter will likely be watching as the team works out rookie prospects starting Wednesday. Iannazzone writes that all but Boone will play for the Nets’ summer league team, along with whoever they draft.</div> The Workouts Begin - Al Iannazzone - In the 'Zzone I wouldn't mind Boone not playing in the Summer league. Much less of a chance of hurting himself [knock on wood], so he can build some muscle. I'm excited for the Marcus, Maurice, and Sean trio in the Summer League tho. I wonder if they'll be playing against rookies? Haha, that'd be pretty cool.
Summer league is a bunch of glorified scrimmages. Pwning those clowns Dante and George is the most important thing going down in Orlando.

Yeah tell me about it. That is so frustrating. Can't someone affiliated with Nets Daily and the NBA get you a credential?

I have high hopes for Marcus this year just like last. Not as much hype will be put into him though because of Harris but I still think he needs to be healthy.

I havent given up on him too, but he is in a no win situation. Frank has already put the stigma on him. He would be better off in a trade. Williams is more effective with the ball in his hands. VC took that away from Kidd. Unless Frank realizes that M. Williams and VC on the court will doesnt work to M. Williams advantage, I say TRADE MARCUS. Better bench rotation lineup for Marcus' succes would be M. Will Harris or other SG Boki S.Will Boone Marcus penetration and dish. Marcus pick and roll with Boki, Boone and S.Will. Those are the things he needs to do. I know Frank tried the Marcus and Harris combo. If I remember well, Marcus was used moe as the SG. I think Frank should have used Harris as the SG instead of Marcus.
I really think Marcus needs to be traded. He's not a backup PG. I would rather have Jamal Tatum run backup point than Marcus. Marcus is far better skilled, but he's a starter somewhere in this league and he knows it. Tatum would bring energy off the bench that is crucial for the backup PG. He is also very quick, can shoot the 3, and plays solid D imo. I hope he makes the team this year.
If Marcus comes back healthy and stops acting as if the Nets owe him half the world it's definitely worth it to keep him for a year - simply because he would be a bargain. I mean, he makes $1.2M. For that amount of money it's probably worth it to roll the dice on him -- unless he's a part of a bigger deal. In worse case scenario, we'll always be able to get rid of him for a 2nd round pick or a conditional 1st rounder 2 years from now. This is a very low risk / high reward situation. If he comes in overweight, selfish and with the wrong attitude, then we'll ship him out.
Is Marcus even going to be motivated for next season? He knows for a fact that he won't steal the starting job from Devin Harris. Not that Devin is that much of a better player, but it seems like Marcus doesn't want to give that extra effort, or that Frank is intimidating him to the point that he just can't play his game. I wanna see Sean bust out next season and get his ass in the starting lineup, permanently. $5 says he's lighting one up as I type. As for Ager, I want him to get some minutes out there. He could be a real asset, as long as he doesn't chuck every single shot opportunity.
