Pretty simple, vote for the winner of this matchup. Winner advances to play the winner of the 1/8 series.

Washington Wizards - JFizzleRaider
C: Tim Duncan / Brian Skinner / DeAndre Jordan
PF: Emeka Okafor / Brandan Wright
SF: Francisco Garcia / Wally Szczerbiak
SG: Ray Allen / Desmond Mason
PG: TJ Ford / Chris Duhon / Luther Head

Philadelphia 76ers - pegs
C: Dwight Howard / Robert Swift
PF: Drew Gooden / Donte Greene / Matt Bonner
SF: Joe Johnson / Keith Bogans / Yakhouba Diawara
SG: DeShawn Stevenson / Damien Wilkins
PG: Jameer Nelson / Charlie Bell

Chances are, most of the Wizards' starting lineup will be injured by the playoffs. No?

worked for Grant Hill and Steve Nash!
Amare bounce back pretty damn well too.
Watch Shaq avg 15&11 and play 75 games this year!!

I still can't see Dwight dominating Duncan yet. I think Duncan can frustrate him

Yup, just like he always does.

While Dwight averages 29 and 18.5, 2.5 against em. With 65% shooting.

Come on, Nelson is a very uncapable PG, Johnson is amazing but would get owned at SF (Stevenson should be playing SF on your team)

And pegs has an incredibly weak bench.

Who said Nelson would be handling the PG duties the whole time? I do have Johnson.

And who would own Johnson? Francisco Garcia?
No.

Weak bench...as compared to...yours? Heh.

Please, my bench is a lot better than yours.

I didn't say Garcia would own Joe Johnson, but Stevenson is more able to play SF than Johnson

If I was having trouble deciding, I'd take the possibility of injury into account. But it's an unknowable, stochastic factor that could affect your team too.

I'd like to hear how you cover up the hole at the 4 and deal with Okafor, or do you plan on giving Gooden a lot of minutes?

for what.. the last 2 games?? how about 5W vs 3L for Duncan?

or the 9 & 9 Howard had the game before.
and Howard is a career 50% to Duncan's 53%

nice massaging of the stats Pegs.

I don't think it's fair to say Duncan won 5 to Howard's 3 when these teams aren't anything like the Spurs or Magic.

Or, it's called using your brain and thinking about improvement.

This past season, Dwight has been a much, much better player than he was in seasons before. So why take in seasons previous? Why not go look at Garcia, and say that he sucks and shouldn't start because in previous seasons he hasn't done shit?

And Duncan is getting older.

Oh, and Okafor isn't all that great. I don't see him as much else than a role player on that team.

Dwight is amazing don't get me wrong, but we plan to implement the Hack-A-Dwight into our defense when it gets down low to him :ghoti:

Um. Okafor?

:dunno:

A little different in that I have Okafor mainly for defense. I'm not relying on his offense like you are Dwights. Duncan will probably get the ball downlow moreso than Okafor.

Duncan's not exactly great at the free-throw line, either. Especially in these past playoffs...

I'll take 73% over 59% anyday

EDIT- my bad 59%

Duncan is a better FT shooter by a decent amount over Howard. Howard is an extreme liability at the line, THE DADDY-esque. Duncan is bad, but not as bad as Howard.

fine, my brain says Tim Duncan WINS playoff series and titles and his points, rebounds, assists, blocks, FG% and FT% all RISE during the playoffs.

Howard's rebounding improved and that's it.

bump, and my teams bench was better than pegs

you were more than a little off on this statement though.

I can't recall which team I voted for, but I hope it was yours :D

haha yeah I definitely was off on that statement. Looking back at my team I think it's quite good though. My bench is pretty good, my main weakness is Garcia at the 3
