Anyone see Frank telling Brook something during the game after a foul and Brook giving a very animated answer back?

    Gotta love the passion!

HAHA, well... Brook shouldn't have been yelled at for that. The team gave brook a defensive rebound after this, no one wanted to touch it.

I noticed a couple of times that Yi took/challenged Brook's rebounds.

Chinese care about stats; this applies to Yi as well, I guess. All the Chinese fans have expectations for him to grab at least 7-8 rebounds a game, which means he may have to steal a couple of cheap defensive rebounds.

Nice generalization there. I don't see why a Chinese fan and an American fan would be any different in that regard: both care about stats too much :P

But speaking from experience, Chinese care more. While it is generalization, it is based on consensus.

Chinese tend to care about achievements in school and outside of school. Acknowledgments are prestigious and Chinese care about being known through what they've accomplished. Thus, the hunger for marks and statistics.

    That's retarded.

Hey I've got more experience being American, [insert broad generalization about every single American here]!

That's the truth. See, without having the Chinese mentality observing a Western culture, it is impossible to notice the difference.

haha, why do you need the perspective on one nation, from another, to make generalizations about your native country, hm?

Clearly your facile grasp of western knowledge clouds your ability to percieve this ardor of eastern lands. :drumroll:

Yi used to play nice and box out and let his teammates get rebounds, but I notice the last game he was fighting for the rebound regardless. Sometimes he will tip a rebound and it goes all crazy. Brook has better hands and better instincts for rebounding. Yi is more athletic and jump higher. I say let Yi stay aggressive and bang a little.

Hopefully Yi and Lopez won't have the chemistry problem in the future because of the fighting for rebound.

Whatever, when going up for a rebound a lot of the time you dont stop to see who it is that you're fighting with for the rebound. The fact that Yi actually cares about rebounding is good enough for me.

See the western players, have their posses, looking for posters. Yi and Yao have a whole country as their posse wanting achievement, and in this case stats. Pictures, posters can be done in the studio, but putting up stats happen in games.

Here is my take: Both players are going as best they can to earn minutes. Sometimes it can work against you, but in the overall picture its only a good thing to have 2 seven footers going full blast after the boards.,,

Competition is the best way to improve. This could be the Nets power players for the next 5+ seasons.
