No I heard once it was an interception, the defense became offense and it was a penalty on defense. So they would get one more play.
The offense cant become the defense....if it did, there would never be a defensive touchdown....no matter who has the ball, the defense is the defense and the half or game can end on an offensive penalty....
"Defense" in a different sense of the word. I'm sure I heard the analysts mention this, if not then they are incorrect but it makes sense. The half shouldn't end because of a foul caused by an opponent who is preventing their rival from scoring. If the offense never became defense, then they could play dirty on an interception at the end of a half and not get penalized for it if time expires.
Anybody watch NFL Live tonight? They were going over the game and pointed out an obvious block in the back on the int return. I'm surprised I didn't notice it because it was blatant and right near the ball. right at 0:17 in the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88hM...d.php?t=134222&page=3&feature=player_embedded
I saw it too and agree it looks like a block in the back, the ref must have thought it was enuff to the side to not call it. I dunno though. But lets get over this reffing already. Nothing is going to happen. (not directed at just you Thrilla)
Nothing is going to change. The trophy will be in Pittsburgh forever. The Cardinals will always have one less title than they could have. I always hope that pointing out the taint will lead to some miraculous adjustment by the league(like going to full time officials-having the Super Bowl officiated by a computer nerd from the US Department of Defense is a punchline waiting to happen). But nothing changes except the ticket prices.
I'll say the same to you then. Funny, didn't Bas say the same thing? You didn't call him out on it. You could call it a block in the back, but that sounds like pussy NBA fouling stuff. I don't live and die by Pitt, I've lost nothing if they lose so I have no agenda. Let them play and get over the calls.
BasX said he agreed that it was a block in the back. If you pause the video, you can see both of his bands are on the back of the jersey when he pushes him. Rules are rules, I don't care if you agree with them or not. When somebody breaks them, they should be called for it.
Ya it did look like a Block in the back, but only thing to consider, and Thrilla will probably agree to this, is the location of the ref, at that position, is can be hard to see that. Missed call regardless.
Dude, I said pretty much the same thing as Bas. I saw the vid and paused it, it didn't look that obvious.
