Extremely, beastly though. Could have been 4-0 even if they call the handball? ;] Don't expect them to do much as of now however.
Yeah Confederations Cup, trying to qualify for the World Cup next year. Plus you know they need the practice, we're not a first rate country at this yet.
You did, but Italy are over-rated. I have no idea how they won the World Cup... It's pretty much like Greece winning the Euros.
Italy isn't overrated really. They're in transition. They were old in 06, but not too old yet. Now, those guys are just old at the highest international levels. And, yes, the US did get very, very lucky. Not so much in their match, but Italy just fell apart in their match more-so than they should have. I didn't think they'd beat Brazil, but I didn't think there was any way they would get destroyed 3-0. Now if the US beats Spain, there would be some luck involved.
Spain, the European champion, had set an international record with 15 straight victories and had tied Brazil’s record unbeaten streak of 35 games from December 1993 to January 1996. Damn that makes this win even better!
Meh, I still think they're over-rated, agoo. Fantastic win for the US. And Big Frame, Fifa hates anyone who isn't French.
Welcome to football. This is why I rage so much. Usually in American sports the stronger team will win (obviously) and then you'll get the odd team that wins against the giants. In soccer, any club and nation can be beaten by anybody--Unless that anybody is Tottenham and San Marino.
