I just see people picking teams in the same league as part of the competition. The fact they have chosen the same league shows that league has a slight advantage anyway.
What is gonna be the deal with players position? SHould we put it to a vote if someone wants to play someone in their non natural spot? like can defensive midfielders be regular midfielders too? Also, sort of same question, are the formations non flexible at all? cause i've seen 4-4-2's listed as 4-1-2-1-2 more accurately, but aren't they still technically 4-4-2's? not sure if these questions make sense lol
Please read the rules before you post questions. If the formation is in the rules, you can play it. Each player will be given a position based on common sense, if anyone disagrees they can post the player in here and suggest with reason why they should be allowed to play another position.
i did read the rules... my example was more hypothetical. Let's say i want to runa 4-4-2 with like 1 LCM, 1 CM, 1 RCM, and then either a CDM or a CAM. That isn't explained by the rules.. Or 2 attacking mid with 2 defensive mids, or are we being really strict with your examples on the rules page?
LCM ? Woah there Sacchi, the rules do explain what is allowed and what isn't. There won't be a LCM only a DMC, a CM or an AMC.
Hielo, you should still be able to ask questions even if you didn't fully read the rules. Sometimes it helps people understand if they ask questions.
If you didn't fully read the rules and I knew I wouldn't answer any questions. Sorry but I didn't sit and sort the rules out for them to not be read. I do of course welcome any questions from anyone who bothered to read the rules. (not aimed at you fresh mate or anyone to be honest)
Yeah it is probably a bit anal to expect someone to read the rules of a game before playing and asking pointless questions. In fact in general I think people who have never played any sport should just turn up not knowing the rules and expect to play, that would work.

I just wanted to clarify something that the rules did not address directly. I understand you only want those formations, but i was wondering what other people thought since this is sort of a group experiment, at least that is what it feels like haha. They quite clearly state about AM "and what not" and I don't think wanting people to read the rules before they ask questions is "getting my panties in a bunch". You were curious, I answered your question. End of issue for me.
