As much as I would like to see another South American reaching the semi-finals, I don't actually think it's likely. It should be a close game but Spain will probably prevail. Paraguay knows how to play with eleven guys behind the ball. And of course there is Larissa Riquelme.
I predicted a Germany v Spain semi final back in May, but if Paraguay show their form that got them to the World Cup then they can beat Spain. If they play the way they did against Japan, they'll be lucky to lose by only one goal. Paraguay don't have any legitimate goal scoring threats other than Lucas Barrios and he hasn't been on form for this World Cup. In all honesty, I've never been impressed with Roque Santa Cruz, the guy should just call it a career.
Definitely, and it is such a sad story, isn't it? I'm not sure if he'll ever fully recover in order to play again.
Yeah, really sad. The guy is a fighter, but I don't think he can fully recover as well. Let's hope, somehow, he can do it.
Spain win in what could be a 1-0 snoozer. Spain score early and then just maintain possession for the second half, taking a few adventures forward into the 18.
We're going to knock them mate, nothing to worry about. Their midfield I'm worried little bit, but just do good defending and counter attack like we did Brasil and we got this.
By the way, who do think starts in Müller's place now? Cacau or Gomez? I'd go with Cacau myself if he was fit.
