I suck at 5 on 5 basketball but am pretty good at 2v2 or 3v3. My shot sucks, usually do I some funky shit in and around the paint to get my points. I grab a lot of boards and usually play on the worst kid (if there is no one much worse than me) on defense.
I went to play ball on saturday for the first time after not playing for the winter. I thought I was doing well the first few games, getting rebounds, making the hustle plays, but man, after that fourth or fifth game I was so winded I started throwing up bricks and having to take breaks on D.....I think it's going to take a couple weekends to build my basketball stamina back up.
Yes. Not charged with anything but I'm still expecting a nice little fine to come in the mail soon. My fingerprints were already in the system from working a city job though but I guess now I'm in the local system. Walked home Fri and Sat by myself and didn't get stopped but I also wasn't blacked out drunk lol. I think my recent blackout streak may have to do with sleep deprivation which is apparently a catalyst. Thank christ no one else gets drunk on Mondays apparently lol. I was in there by myself. Had a few good laughs though. Women's first response to this story is always "OMG are you ok?" to which I respond "Yeah I'm good, my asshole hurts a little bit though but other than that I'm fine." And I'm no scoring savant on the courts but I usually do better than that. I'm only 5'9 but prefer playing on the inside, pretty good rebounder, good post defender, mostly score on a sexy baby hook but I've got a few counter moves in the post I'm alright at too. Over the last year or so my mid-range jumper has come along fairly well and I can take a hard dribble and stop on a dime and rise above the defender to hit it well. Thats about the extent of my scoring aside from garbage buckets down low and open spot up mid-range jumpers. I defer to the scorers and focus on rebounding, passing, hustle, and defense but every once in a while I'll get a good matchup or just get hot and lead my team in scoring. Been boxing the last three months and it really keeps my stamina up. I hadn't played basketball in weeks before last Fri so thats probably why my touch was off. My stamina kept up with my motor though and I had plenty of legs to hustle all game. Went 2-0. Speaking of boxing I got fucking DRILLED in the temple today and the top right corner of my vision went dark and fuzzy for a few secs. Wasn't close to getting laid out but never had that happen before lol.
Anyone ever wear under armour basketball shoes? I just ordered some, I hope I didn't fuck myself. I usually wear Nikes but I tried to under armour ones in store and they felt okay but that could be different once I try to run and jump in them.
Run, I've learned that you can maintain all 3 if you go to all your classes and do study groups with people of equal or greater intelligence. You won't have to spend so much time studying/learning/doing the material. I guess it also depends on how much sleep is "enough".
