Re: UFC 153: Silva vs. Bonnar (Oct/13) Big Nog looked fat as hell, of course, for a fighter...for just an average guy he would still be in good/decent shape. But yeah, I think Herman might be able to close the book on Nog's career tomorrow night. He just looked horrible at the weigh in. Anderson Silva is a flabby 202. Bonnar's size difference should be interesting. I wonder if he'll be able to get him down. I can't help but pull for Bonnar in this one, just such an underdog and he's a fuckin warrior who always brings it. Who are you pullin for speeds?
Re: UFC 153: Silva vs. Bonnar (Oct/13) I haven't been the biggest Bonnar fan since he pissed hot after the second Griffin fight. I'd rather see Silva lose in a passing-the-torch way to Chris Weidman or the like. Or in a super-fight. Or retire undefeated in the UFC. Nog had a busted limb and probably is still pushing it a little early to come back for this card. Not surprised he looked a little doughy.
Re: UFC 153: Silva vs. Bonnar [tonight on Facebook, Fuel TV & PPV] The night begins with a scrappy but well fought bout between Maddadi and Marcelo but it ends in a controversial (aka terrible) decision win for Marcelo. Luiz & Camozzi are fighting hard, too. Cane continues to look great on offense and terrible on defense.

Re: UFC 153: Silva vs. Bonnar [tonight on Facebook, Fuel TV & PPV] Great night of fights. The main card really delivered but the prelims were decent as well. Demian Maia going back to his roots; fun to witness. Phil Davis as well. Jon Fitch had the most exciting fight of his career since he fought GSP. Sadly the fights after his were just as exciting if not more so. And he still couldn't get the finish. Erick Silva should learn a lot from that fight. After the second round he looked really tired and dejected about not getting the choke. It was over for him at that point. Incredible fight between Teixeira and Maldonado, who is the Brazilian Zombie. Really hard to understand how he could take that much punishment. Corner stoppage was justified if not overdue. Big win for Big Nog. Although Pee-Wee's comments about BJJ were tongue-in-cheek, still funny to see him lose that way. TBH he didn't fight that well. Not sure what his strategy was--all he seemed to do was hold out his arm and wait to counter, and his counter's weren't great. Predictable work of art by Anderson Silva. I was watching with my brother who doesn't watch much of these and he was surprised by Silva's strategy of standing still and taking punches. I told him he'd just roll out of them and then when he chose to attack he'd finish the fight. I guess everyone could see that coming. Second fight in a row he's finished by a devastating knee to the solar plexus. Too bad it seems like we'll never see him in a superfight.
Yeah he did wind up getting it. Credit to Silva, too. $70,000 bonuses also went to Nogueira (obv) and Rony Jason.

i disagree. i like weidman because a) he's a wrestler and that always befuddles silva b) he's got decent striking c) his submission game is very good
