I like that. :happy0144:
Re: How Soon 'Till The Next 'Chip? Explain to me how one can be disappointed in a team that achieves what they are supposed to or overachieves. That makes no sense at all. You haven't argued against any of the teams I pointed out, so I guess I win.

But not all disappointed teams are underachievers. The Charlotte Bobcats may be disappointed they didn't make the playoffs but given not much was expected of them I wouldn't say they underachieved. The Warriors may be disappointed they didn't continue further but in no way are they underachievers. If they are disappointed that would only be because they are competitors -- unlike the mavs who are disappointed because they are just underachievers. (Unless the mavs and apparently their fans are not as disappointed because they are used to underachieving).Anyway my previous post already listed the reasons why the six teams you mentioned are not bigger underachievers than the mavs:<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>For a team to be underachievers on a greater scale than your mavs there would have to be lofty expectations. That quickly eliminates 4 of your listed teams already: Rockets, Grizzlies, Lakers, Knicks. These teams did not have any realistic expectations of winning the title. But go ahead and list Atlanta and Boston as well if it makes you feel better. The other two teams you list are the Suns and the Pistons. I'm not going to re-post the facts about why the mavs were un-rivaled under-achievers. But you're insulting both the Suns and Pistons teams to even group them with the mavs. The Suns lost a competitive series to the eventual champions. While the Pistons made it to the conference finals once again. I'd rather go out like those two teams than be sent home in the first round ... the first round! ... in a manner that had never before been witnessed.</div>Ask me again and I'll tell you the same. Since you like synonyms so much maybe you'll understand this "mavs"="biggest underachievers in recent history".This is <u>so obvious</u> that there really isn't much more to say.Anyway I'll be watching the commemorative championship DVD before long. You may have yours on order already also -- seeing how much time you spend on the SPURS forum. But who could blame you. :happy0144:
