Of course, Rose blows his knees out by taking it hard to the rim every time, and still didn't get FT calls this year before he yet again go injured.

Every thread here ends up negative to some degree, so I consider this a troll thread, and will try to debate the negativity.

My definition of elite is probably different than yours. I wouldn't call him elite unless he's top 10% among starters at his position, ie, one of the 3 best. This season, I would easily put Paul, Parker and Curry ahead of him.

We're not 18-0. It doesn't matter that we've only played 15 games, we're still underachieving.

I think it shows just how great this team can be. All these problems and we're 13-2?!? It's scary to think we can get even better.

Lillard. It would be nice to see him stop and pop that little 12 footer. Also, he often steps back away from his defender to shoot a three pointer several feet behind the arc when he could easily pump and go up drawing more fouls. Over time, that would also force his defender to step back allowing him 3pt's at the arc instead of behind. I'm fine with him avoiding contact inside, let's keep him healthy.

Wes. He believes he can will himself to greatness. When his shot is falling this is great, but when it's not it can be a problem. But I'd much rather this be the problem than an outlaw who lacks confidence. Love how he bodies on D, it. Takes a lot out of his opponents by the fourth.

Batum. Just too passive, but a lot of that is also just how it looks because he is so damn smooth everything he does seems effortless.

LaMarcus. I hot no beef except his shooting is off a tad. Time will take care of that.

Lopez. He's not as sexy as Myers Leonard. Lopez is doing great and really improving. At just 25, I think he could end up a better Offensive Przybilla.

We're upsetting Mr. Stern and affecting Knickerbocker jersey sales.

Let me see: 1. We need a real center. Lopez is just temporary.

    2. What are we going to do with CJ when he comes back. He can't play either point guard or shooting guard full time.

    3. IF Oshey makes a move before the trade deadline, it will probably be negative.

Lopez is most certainly a real center and seems to be the one biggest difference between last year (a failure) and this year (a success). His defense has been getting really good and his box outs are the main reason LMA has been able to become a rebounding beast and the Blazers have improved their team rebounding.

    Perfectly said! Thank you!

    Yes, he does.

What's elite? Top 3? Top 5? How do you rank him league wide?

As soon as we go 2-6 on this 7-game stretch, we'll know more.

When we first traded for Lopez, a lot of people were saying "Lopez doesn't fill his stat sheet, but he improves his team mates rebounding. Unlike JJ Hickson, that steals his teammates rebounds and they do worse when he's on the court." Well if you look at the starters -Lopez, ALL of their rebounding numbers are up signfiicantly, LA just slightly. Lopez is a serious center, and right now should not be traded unless for a legit all star.
