I don't think anyone is trashing JJ. But let's not forget he did throw Aldridge under the bus after he left
There are certain guys who become much, much more valuable in good systems. On our team Batum, Lopez and Matthews all fit that bill. They can be the 3rd or 4th best player on a .200 team or an .800 team, but they'll probably never be the first or second best player on either. Shane Battier or Bruce Bowen is probably the poster child for that. The Spurs feast on using those kind of guys.
Oh please, So your saying Aldridge is playing so well because of Lopez? He's been putting similar stats up the last three season on this team. It pays to be playing along side the best PF (Argue big man) in the NBA. Aldridge could make the worst center in the NBA look like decent.
Hickson would be an upgrade over T-rob as a backup 4, but he's more expensive and he doesn't want to be a bench guy so its not really worth it.
I absolutely think Aldridge has seen an improvement because of Robin. I don't think it's a stretch at all to think that
Pretty much what a lot of the pro-Aldridge crowd over the summer and last year had been saying. Put him next to a real center and he'll play a lot better.
Loved the play where the ball falls a couple of feet from Lopez and he DIDN'T try to get the offensive rebound. He just held off his man allowing Wes to grab the ball and make a lay up. Lopez was credited for 0 rebounds and 0 assists that play but obviously he deserved both. This is why I don't care about Lopez stats, whether they "look good" or not. This is why Lopez doesn't care about his stats, whether they "look good" or not. This is why I don't care about Hickson stats, whether they "look good" or not.
Who fucking cares? We don't talk basketball anymore. And everyone knows my opinion is always wrong. learn the game then post and all that bullshit
Here comes the victim card again... You started the thread by saying that he was a good player on a bad team.... he's nearly averaging a double double again on the 6th best team in the west. Your post WAS wrong. How can you play the victim card on this one?
Damn I went with the victim card post in the wrong thread. Be a good boy and edit all the BS posts from me and others in the other thread. Chop chop
I think it's more than just boxing out too. I think Lopez makes LaMarcus work harder. As in, he takes him asides and tells him to cover his man better, or you missed a coverage here.
I thought lashing out was what we did here. Never said Denver was a bad team either. No idea where you got that?
And has played for Portland, Cleveland and Sacramento Harvey Grant is one of those players as well. He played on multiple teams too
