How long until CJ comes back? 15 points from the bench tonight. This will continually bite us in the ass. Either we lose a big lead, like in our game against LA, or the other team will build a lead against us, like we saw tonight against Dallas. We can't always count on the starters to dig us out of a hole. The starters did their thing tonight. Dame was amazing, Aldridge still put up really good numbers, and Nic was huge in the second half. RoLo had another solid double double. We need to improve the bench. I thought our bench was going to be much better after the acquisitions over the summer, but I'm just not seeing it. Mo is a chucker, but not a very good one. Wright has been a disappointment. Robinson was our best bench player tonight. We need a scorer, and I don't know if we can wait for CJ to come back. They said supposedly December, but it's been weeks since we heard anything.
CJ might change it all.... but we have no clue as to when he's coming back, or how quickly he'll be able to work himself into game shape. That could take months. We need help now.
This is exactly what I say when people say CJ can change our bench. They don't listen. It's not going to happen overnight just with him.

I don't think you understand what "sky is falling" looks like. When people were screaming to blow it up after the first game of the season, that's "sky is falling." I'm merely pointing out that our bench is, once again, holding us back. Something needs to be done.

We have chemistry and the bench will get better. T. Rob is still learning. He could become that spark off the bench. Also, CJ is gonna help as well. I'm not worried at all. We are 17-4. Enjoy it
Don't need a new bench. Need at least one consistent scorer off the bench. We don't have that right now. Mo is streaky and just horrible at promoting any kind of flow. At this point I'd really like to see Earl Watson and maybe give Crabbe some burn.
We have no idea when CJ will be back and actually playing. Plus, he's a rookie so we have no idea what he'll actually bring to the table.

Every one of those player assessments is off the mark. You need to break it down by quarter. After the 1st, Lillard couldn't hit them. His end-of-gamer didn't compensate for his similar shot before it, a crazy prayer which missed. Then Mo tried something similar and looked the goat, trying to pull the team out of the ditch from Lillard's miss. Aldridge was mediocre in the 1st half, then got worse because Nowitzki got better when it counted. Lopez did great the first 3 quarters, not just solid. McCollum won't help in his rookie year.
That's not the point. People talk about CJ like he's the Messiah. When he returns, he will save our shitty bench. We have no idea what he will bring. He could be awesome, but he could also play like a rookie and have good nights and bad nights. We really don't know. We also don't know when he'll actually be ready to return to action.
Well, I would like to see Crabb more too. It sucks the bench was 0-7 from 3. God knows Crabb can hit the 3. Earl will run the offense, which is something that Mo is hit or miss on when he's looking to score. These games are bound to happen, and CJ will be back soon. I feel sorry for Utah.
