With the team having ipads I think we can coach the team. I'll stand on the sidelines and you guys can send me plays and substitution ideas.
What's kinda funny is that back when Nate was coaching I had an idea for an offensive set, which I borrowed from a gimmicky lacrosse play we use to run, called "the wheel". Turns out that it's a staple of the Stotts offense! Of course my version had more variation so it wouldn't be quite as predictable as it currently is.
Good, get that to me and I'll include in my presentation on why this forum should be the coach of the Blazers.
I don't think the question is whether or not WE want Stotts Back. It's a question of whether or not we want to retain Lamarcus and who HE wants as a coach. It's a player's league.
One mark of a good coach is that the team improves as the season goes along. Draw your own conclusions.
Are you positive his contract is up after this year? A 2-year contract for a coach seems rather short-term thinking.
Maybe it was a 2 years guaranteed with 3rd year a team option kind of a thing? I know with players that happens but not sure with coaches.
I'm looking for information on his contact status. One would think that his agent would be somewhat vocal about getting his client a new contract.
Best I can find so far is that the contracts details are unknown. http://sportsgmtalk.wordpress.com/h...-contracts/nba-head-coach-contracts-salaries/
Tim Donaghy says to never bet against a team that fires it's coach, Coach is fired because the players quit on him. When the coach is gone the team will play a lot harder to show it was the coach that was the problem and not them. ~Take it for what it's worth~
I think Lionel Hollins would do this team a lot of good. He seems to be able to get the players to really listen to him and I like his tough style. Olshey might not be interested though because Hollins is pretty much against sabermetrics, and Olshey seems like a guy that really looks over the numbers. Agree he would be good for Aldridge. Apparently Haynes and Aldridge had a discussion a few days ago about how Aldridge is drifting farther and farther out and taking tougher shots. Aldridge's reply was he's not taking tougher shots, and that the shots he's taking are actually good shots.................. Sorry LaMarcus, but you're the only person that actually believes that. If he thinks those are good shots then we have a problem. Hes's not Dirk. He needs to get his ass in the post more often and at least have some kind of actual inside/outside game.
