OSUBlazerFan-- Here is Meyers Leonard's 22 point game in Oakland. I was at this game with my Dad. We were impressed as were the GS TV announcers on this clip:

The guy has skills and will have a great career.

You have yet to really grasp the idea of one game.

    One game out of 82.

That's like 1.2% of his games played that year.

The age of the instant gratification and the thought that one play signifies a whole season. lol.

He had many good games during the last month of the season and a couple throughout the earlier part of the season? Do I have to post them ALL? I merely posted the best.

To say he had "many" good games is an exaggeration. He had a handful of good games, enough to say that he was raw but promising. He did not have very many good games this year at all. That's why many of us feel he has actually regressed.

For the first year, out of 69 games, the team had 26 wins.

add 17 more wins in the 38 games played... that means, with Meyers in there at any point in the game, the team is 43-64 (Quick math in my head, may be off).

    So, there's that.

He has definitely regressed but this started because PapaG said Leonard produced more in his rookie year than CJ has this year and that is TRUE. People forget how well he played at times throughout the whole season, not just during the losing streak.

I have to say that this thread and really all the threads have been so much more enjoyable with Strenuus on ignore. Glad I didn't have to deal with it today.

Really? Strenuus? He's pretty tame compared to a lot of the people on here.

No shit, right? But, again, it's on him. I even sent a PM with apologies. I'm good on my end. :)

Anyway, back on topic. I like CJ. I think he'll be fine.

I like what I saw out of McCollum. That said, I still wish we would have drafted the Klynyk.

Gotta give you credit here, Olynyk will be a great player. Very smart, plays excellent team defense, doesn't look to score much which I thought was most of his game.
McCollum will play summer league and be in the rotation next year. He's already Much better than Dorrel Wright our loser coach insists on playing.

Larry Bird was a great player.

Michael Jordan was a great player.

Kareem Abdul-Jabar was a great player.

Kelly Olynyk will be an okay player. I doubt he even makes an All-Star game.

See....I took them playing Earl more as a 'lets test the waters' to ensure he was still good-to-go to come out and run the offense for a bit. I thought it was odd we didn't see any CJ in there, but I'm going to guess we see Dame > Mo > Earl in playoffs and if CJ does make it in it would be at the sacrifice of Will's mins (Ugh I Will would have been golden if he didn't turn over that rock...but Dame had a horrible turnover too so i guess hall pass)
